I am not sure if I received a defective item, but the distortion was enough to make me return it. At low volumes it is no better than a device's built in speakers.The sellers were amicable and a offered a full refund. It was a good size and sounded good enough in a pinch for a device with no speakers, but if you need higher volumes, I would look elsewhere.

I bought this to throw in my wife's bag for when we're out and about and want some music with us. We mostly expect to use it at a picnic or some other outdoor location where the phone speaker isn't sufficient.This seems like it will do the trick.I like the size, and I like the carry bag. It also came with an adapter that I won't need. I assume that's for a phone with a different sized jack.It requires 4 AAA batteries, which are not included. There are two battery access panels that have to be removed so you can place two batteries per side. They were for fairly easy to remove and replace, and nothing got broken in the process.There is an on / off switch that automatically turns to off when you close the speakers for storage. You have to turn the switch to on when you're ready to listen through them.They are definitely not full range, so don't expect much in the way of low end. I was really impressed with the volume, though, for as small as they are. The clarity is pretty good. If you have access to EQ settings on your phone, it really helps. There was no distortion even at full volume.I'm pleased with my purchase. This is pretty much exactly what j was looking for. Something really small that could give me more volume when needed. These speakers were surprisingly deliver a clean and crisp audio. Well built speakers with solid bass sound without interference or blur.I bought these just expecting a little extra boost for my laptop computer and I got so much more sound than expected. They do an amazing job for sound quality for the basic needs.Honestly, I don't find the speakers attractive at first glance. They look ordinary for me, I was fooled by the looks . These two combo speakers are so powerful they fill my house with a lively and spirited beat with a full deep bass. These are great for open and spacious spot , they’re convenient and practical with no complexities upon installing. These are awesome!
