The brightness of this unit is superior. I did have a small issue with the mount but after communicating with customer support Agent "My" this unit is awesome. Many IR lights to choose from and glad I purchased ATN as they have the best customer service and products.

Though I had an issue with the product functionality out of the box, customer service (specifically Aaron N.) was excellent in helping resolve the issue. Thanks for the great support!

I have an ATN night vision scope mounted on my set up. Using any other illuminated device messed with the images I was seeing in my scope. This IR flashlight changed the game for me in low/limited light. Easy to operate and easy to mount. Doesn't light pollute my scope and gets the job done.

I bought this for my son last year at Christmas, he wants to do some hog hunting at night, pretty impressed with it.

The IR 850 Pro is a great addition to my ATN 5x -20x X-Sight 4K Pro. The stock light is great out to 150 - 200 yards, but the IR 850 really lights up out to 400+ yards. That gives me enough distance to menace the coyotes at my house.

When products have problems I try to sort them out instead of whining and complaining. This one just wouldn't sort. First, the mount. As others have said, it is VERY poor quality. I did eventually get it to grip the light adequately, but the threaded holes were a mess on one side, and noting I tries kept it from flopping around in the Oicatinny rail. So let me be the 10,000th person to say, "the mount is junk". It makes me worry about how long their scopes will last. But wait, there's more!!!The battery charger makes the mount look like a beautifully turned out bespoke German sports car. It is essiantilly unusable, even with a great deal of patience. I suggest ordering a good charger if you order the light. But wait, there is even more!!!The light itself didn't work. The smaller illuminator that came with the scope works fine, but nothing I tried made the beauty fire up. In spite of the charger showing a green light from the getgo, and in spite of (with great difficulty) getting the battery to sit in the charger for 24 hours, no joy. Mt trusty Fluke meter said the battery was empty even though the charger said green. Which one would you trust?At this point I had seen enough, and today I sent it back just ahead of the end of my 30 day return. I'm going to look for alternatives if for no other reason the fact that the mount needs a hefty dose of Viagra. I am also going to give ATN a call to see what they say about all this. Whoever runs their Chinese manufacturing program needs to be transferred to the returns processing department so they can see what a mess they made.Good luck, I hope this helps spmeone.

I currently have a ATN 4k night scope and the stock IR flashlight and works fine, I thought a brighter Ir from ATN would just be a bonus and work that much better, i was completely wrong, the directions are terrible, the battery charger is so cheap do not see that lasting, the mount with windage and elevation are complete garbage, what a pile of junk, I tried adjusting the beam from pin point to flood and it would never adjust the intensity ring worked but i could not see more than a small box in the scope that this IR flashlight lit up, very disappointed, returning for money back not worth over $50.00

I bought this several years ago and disliked at first. The directions were wrong for widening or narrowing the focus of the beam. I didn't use it until this year because I thought it did not work. I messed with it and found that the focus adjust was at the middle front of the lamp. After adjusting I loved it. Unfortunately mine failed before using it 10 times in the field. I called atn and there was zero hassle. They immediately sent a replacement. FINALLY someone that stands behind their product! I use this with an xsight ii. Because of this customer service and how pleased I am at the capability of my atn setup I am wanting to get an ATN THOR and ATN thermal spotting binocular setup.
