Ronco Inventions Popeil Jr. Showtime Rotisserie and Barbecue

This product DOES make great chicken but the electrical wiring gets hot and switch goes bad. After three months of use my Pro Rotisserie stopped working due to over heating of the wiring and the rotating swith went bad. E-mail to company got me no response. Before buying this product I e-mailed Ronco with a guestion about the unit. Unfortunately I bought it before getting there response 2 1/2 months later. This is the last product I will purchase from Ronco!

I love my Showtime Jr. and I bought it well over 10 years ago. I don't use it everyday but when I do it always cooks the best pork shoulder and chicken. I see some reviewers are dissatisfied with the life span of the product, but I moved from NY to SC and just used it again today, I can't say I didn't have some reservations about the electrical set up being that the cord and the unit gets awfully hot but so far so good.

I had one of these in the larger size and then when I moved I left it behind :( So when I decided I couldn't live without it I decided to get the JR since I was just cooking for one. I love how easy and foolproof it is but I have noticed it has quite the obnoxious squeaking sound if its holding say a large 5lb or more chicken. The squeaking is annoying but its ok because this takes all the guesswork out of cooking meats and they are ALWAYS so juicy and flavorful :-)

I have had mine for a long time ( many years) and love it. Honestly, it took me awhile to decide to use it but, once I did I was mad I did not use it right away. Once you get into reading the instructions and USE IT, I think you will run to it more often than you thought. Perfect for a larger family but, I have used it when guests come over, requiring a larger amount of food. A roast is fabulous..Place small or cut potatoes at the bottom pan and they roast all together (yum) Of course, the chicken and turkey cooking is fabulous and just wonder why the regular oven does not quite cut it any longer. Don't be afraid to simply open the box and give it a try.......My only suggestion is, that you use a wire scour pad to bring it closely back to the original look. Remember, it is an oven and treat it as such.

This product is as easy as they say "set it and forget it!!" It's true it's great!! Chicken comes out perfect everytime same with beef and pork. I have not used it to cook a hamburger yet but I'm sure it works great. The gloves included provide great protection from burns while removing your dinner. Also clean up is a snap. I line the tray in the bottom with tin foil tha way you don't have to clean the tray, (just alittle tip for you). Try injecting chickens a with marinade of some kind, and put veggies inside and close the hole up, as it cooks it with flavor the chicken from the inside out, and help to keep the meat moist. This product it just perfect you can't mess it up!!! You WILL use this if you buy it it's fun, and easy to use and the results speak loud and clear. Enjoy and good cooking!!!

This product performsas advertised. I thought my husband was "nuts" when he purchased it, but I can tell you the chicken, shops, burgers, steaks turn out perfectly and evenly cooked, moist and delicious. We have even cooked ribs on it. The steamer on top does an excellent job with broccoli...I have not tried any other vegetable. This product takes up very little space, cleans in the dishwasher or by hand. We have one at home and one in our RV which we live in during out of town jobs. We have purchased them for our parents. This is a great price too,

This machine is heaven sent. I bought mine almost 5 years ago and it still works PERFECTLY. I have a family of 4 and use my machine on average 2 - 3 times a week. It makes the BEST chicken I have ever had, perfectly moist and juicy every time. You WILL NOT be disappointed...

My wife bought one and she totally loves it. It cooks meat very well, draining the fat but leaving in the moisture. One very minor downside is the noise it makes, which can be a little annoying, but other than that, I cannot find fault. My wife found a way to make the noise stop and that is by coating the ends of the rotisserie itself with oil before putting it in. It stops the noise completely.
