Replace old striker with an electric igniter

Had to make ignition hole bigger in order for it to fit. This was not easy to do. Description had make and model of my grill so it should have fit perfect. This made the job a lot harder.

This does not fit through the opening in charbroil grill as indicated. The original igniter used AAA battery and this uses AA battery. As a result it is too large for the opening it should fit through. I will need to enlarge the hole on the front of my grill.

I didn't have the right grill for this part and had to bore out the hole on my grill to get this fit. Luckily I had some files that did the trick.

This igniter is presented as a replacement for a vast number of igniters. But it not a replacement for mine(463347017). I managed to improvise the process to get it to work (enlarge the stainless steel hole in grill top). It is difficult to do without the right tools. Also only 1 of the sparking rods fits my grill, so I had to use the older rod.

Was so happy with the results. No problem with using this to replace the failed ignitor on the grill. Easy to install, and you can upgrade your grill with additional ignitors if needed. Only had to enlarge the mounting hole a little with a metal file for it to fit.

The product works, but difficult to install. The diameter of the threaded switch is slightly bigger than the hole on the grill. I had to use a drill to make the hole slightly wider. Each of the ignitor boxes were also slight smaller than the burner tube that they connect to. I had to use plyers to bend them open.Once installed it does work as promised.

Excellent quality, not cheap metal but good thickness to last,,, I hope. Easy to install. Didn't rate durability since it's brand new and haven't a clue how long it will last.
