The 200W unit I got uses only 49W. No surprise: it doesn't work as advertised.
I plugged it in and after ten minutes of its sitting there smoking it barely was hot. The pieces are loose and rattle around inside, even though nothing inside is broken. There is a single set screw which one can tighten, but even so the rattling continues. I can't see how there's any thermal contact between the ceramic heater and the iron tip. Even so, a 200 watt iron should use 200W, not 49 watts measured. Poor QC at the very least. And the photos show the unit "passed" QC. Poor, worthless POS Junk. Why is this item which is rated for 220V even being marketed to customers in the U.S./North America? (It's not clear that it would draw 200W on 220V anyhow). Why does the seller say, "Dear customer, please rest assured to buy without worry about the plug adaption. We will provide an adapter for you according to different country standard and ensure its normal use.".... ? The iron needs no adapter - It has a U.S. Style plug on the cord. This item makes no sense! This is worthless to a customer in the U.S. AND it will cost more to mail it back than the item cost in the first place. DO NOT BUY.
