Good looks and Solid!
First off, these things are super heavy duty and strong, in fact you can use them as spare jack stands for your truck when they aren't supporting your Klipsch speakers. Some of the other reviews said these were difficult to assemble, needed to be welded, or don't go together correctly. On the contrary, our friends in Taiwan machined these stands to near perfection and all the bolts lined up perfectly when assembling these things. The only issue I noticed was if you tightened all the bolts on the bottom plate before the top plate, then the top plate may be slightly out of alignment and to correct this just back the bolts off a bit, have someone hold the top plate straight or put some tension on it while you tighten the bolts on the bottom, and then everything will be straight once you tighten the top plate bolts.I love these stands because they are so heavy that my sister-in-laws horde of crotch-goblins can't knock them over when they overwhelm the barricaded doors to the theater room and infest the sacred halls.

These truly are some very sturdy stands, and the perfect height I was looking for. The delivery guy got a work out lugging the eighty pound package to the door, but hey, it's his job. I was worried about how they would look in my TV room but am very pleased, they're perfect! I didn't fill mine with sand or shot as they're heavy enough to hold my speakers, and are very stable. I'd highly recommned them.

Perfect for bookshelf speakers
This stand came with a mis-manufactured base plate that would not allow one of the carpet spies to be screwed in. I reported it through Amazon to the seller and they responded immediately to send out a replacement plate - wonderful customer service! The stand itself is very heavy duty and otherwise easy to put together . I believe it is exactly what I need for my bookshelf speakers.

Good base
Overall they made a big difference in bass response for the Audience 1+1 V2+'s afterfillin them with shot. By the way, they are easy to fill! The only problem is that the columns do not sit perpendicular once bolted to the base. This makes the top plate harder to mount since screw holes need to be aligned with some force. This is especially more difficult after the columns are filled. Overall they look good to me with the flat finish. Most of all they sound great.

Very sturdy.
These are heavy and very sturdy. I have Kef LS50s which are heavy themselves. The stands are very sturdy and would take a very hard hit to topple them. I have not filled them and haven't noticed any unwanted sound.

Heavy Duty. Could use better quality control.
First, I thought these might be clones of a similar Monoprice stands but these apparently are not. I weighed an individual stand at 31.5 pounds. I think the similar Monoprice stand weighs ~20 pounds so the Pangea stand must use heavier gauge steel. My set of stands arrived with the packaging in good condition. However, one of the top plates had a minor edge chip out for the powder-coated paint. Also, when assembled, the (4) posts are a not machined or welded very straight. The posts kind of lean a bit this way and the other way. Once fully tightened, one of my stands looked good; however, the other stand ended with the top plate twisted out of symmetry with the bottom plate, I had to kind of muscle things back to straight. Also, when you add the spiked feet, the base becomes a bit less stable since the feet have a significantly narrower footprint than the overall base. I'm not sure I'd recommend these speaker stands for people with toddlers in the house.

hire a welder
Solid steel but a royal PITA to assemble. If you want squarely bolted stands that line up with your speakers to look at from your listening chair or couch these are not for you. I could never get the posts to squarely line up with the top panel and the base. When you have 6 moving parts and 4 bolts these are hard to square. I actually hired a tig welder and spent an additional $250 to tig weld them just so that they would line up squarely. Plus $10 on black spray paint to refinish. There are better stands out there for the money. Unless you are a welder I'd stay away from these. That said if you are in the market for a pair of these stands that are already welded I am happy to sell you mine for a cool $600 a pair.
