I bought this as a replacement for my old Bionaire purifier which was over 10 years old and I'm very pleased indeed with this new Levoit one. I react to many things in the environment including dust, pollution, pet dander, smoke, chemicals and fumes in the air and this unit covers all those for a really great price. You can buy different types of filter according to your needs, so it's very flexible. I was used to a very loud noise from my old purifier and this one has three levels of "white noise" which I find relaxing when sleeping. You can turn off the lights at night and the air purifying coverage is enough to cover my large loft bedroom without spending several hundred pounds as I thought I might have to. I detected a faint "cardboard" smell during the first 24 hours but otherwise nothing of note (and I am extremely sensitive to smells). Changing the filters is going to be much easier and quicker than my old unit and they last much longer (6-8 months) so will be more economical as well. The detailed manual is very clear and thorough and even mentions EMF, which is very helpful for those of us who are sensitive to it. The unit even looks elegant! I couldn't be more pleased with this and highly recommend it.

All controls are easily accessible via the machine's control panel (there is no requirement to connect to WiFi & control via an App).As with most air purifiers, fan speed is adjustable. There are 3 main speed settings, plus, as the fan seems to become even quieter if 'night mode' is selected, probably 4 speed settings in total. Speaking of volume, the machine is extremely quiet, especially at the lower speed settings.It is possible to dim (or even switch off completely) the control panel lights to avoid distraction at night.But how good is it at cleaning the air? As I have a particle counter (a Dylos DC1700 that measures particulate pollution down to 0.5 microns) I was able to assess this somewhat objectively and can confirm that the standard filter (as supplied with the air purifier) is indeed very effective. Before switching on the air purifier, the Dylos was displaying a 0.5 micron count of 1100. After running the air purifier for 1 hour at Fan speed 1 (i.e. low speed) the count had reduced to 150. Placing the Dylos directly over the air purifier's outlet resulted in a reading of almost zero, thereby confirming the efficiency of the actual filter.I am delighted with the above results. Clearly the filter is working very efficiently and I have no doubt that the in-room results would have been better still if I had operated the air purifier at a higher fan speed. Also, although doors and windows were closed for the above experiment, the room was not totally sealed due to the presence of trickle vents.All in all, a fantastic machine. My only grumble is that there is no carrying handle.

The air purifier does work, because I found dust collected inside it including a broken strand of my african hair and a tiny feather from my pillow.

I have more than a few air purifiers situated in different rooms around my home but the Lĕvoit air purifier core 300 has to be my favourite and here's the reasons why: its simple to setup and easy to use with a LED touch button display.Its robust but durable yet quite lightweight only weighing 3.4 kg making it easy to move around your home.Its quiet with noise levels between 24-48 decibels making it quieter than the sound of breathing at a 1 metre distance when on the sleep mode function and another plus is that you can also turn off the light display while on. I find it hard to sleep with noise & the smallest amounts of light keep me awake but I sleep like a baby thanks to the clever features for people who are noise & light sensitive like myself. I have two allergy sufferers in my home and a pet dog not to mention a husband who is a carpenter and brings saw dust and other dirt & dust particles into the home on his work clothes. The purifier has really made a big difference to our lives by trapping particles like dust,hair,fibres and pet hair and filtering the air we breathe in around the home and works in room sizes of upto 40 m². The hepa 3-stage filter lasts between 6-8 months before needing to be replaced and you don't have to worry about remembering to replace the filter as the filter icon on the led display will light up to indicate it needs replacing.I would recommend taking the filter out and cleaning with a soft brush or vacuum hose every 3-4 weeks,I use a soft brush rather than my vacuum as it has a quite powerful suction. The Led display has a fan speed button & fan speed settings 1-3 ,Sleep mode button ,Timer button and 4 timer settings 2h,4h,6h,8h aswell as display lock that you just tap and hold for 3 seconds to lock/unlock display buttons.
