Q: Are the knives serrated?

My knives are not serrated, but are honed to a fine edge which makes slicing through different foods easy most of the time but they are NOT steak knives. My previous flatware (Oneida Louisiana) had an easily defined serrated edge. You will not see teeth on the Gorham Studio.

Q: Where is the product (gorham studio 5 piece place setting) made?

I have two place settings. Each utensil except the knives is stamped "Vietnam." The knives alone have no indication where they were made.

Q: How does the flatware feel in your hand? I like flatware to have some weight & balance. Also what is the width at the prong tip?

The flatware has good weight and is solid. We have been using our first set for 18 years. I bought a second set to supplement what we had. I love the clean lines.

Q: What dishwasher detergent is safe for this flatware?

Absolutely. I’ve had this flatware for 20 years and love it. No problems at all with dishwasher. Even started a set for my daughter.
