Sorry short rant.The first one: I was in need of a port that I could pass through cords and keep dust low. This worked great for a covered hole I put in a plastic bin/ container. Wires pass through and looks better than a hole.The second one: more standard, needed to run wires out of the wall and wanted to make the area look better than just a hole in the sheet rock. I already had a plate for data wires but adding audio wires would look dumb with what was there.
