Much Better Price Than Name Brand For The Same Quality
I was a little skeptical at first about trying a non name brand version of this product but because of the price difference I figured I'd give it a try. Was very impressed with this. Works exactly as the name brand stuff. I see some people in the reviews complaining that it burns their eyes. To me this is no different that what I experienced with the name brand and was already warned by my eye doctor (who prescribed this), that you will feel some slight burning (which doesn't last long). Overall a very good product so far.

Best eye drops I've ever used for cornea disease & dry eyes!
I have fuchs (cornea degeneration) and dry eyes from autoimmune disease. My eyes are very gritty and painful. I have tried so many different kinds of eyedrops with no success. My eye Dr has used stem cells to try and reverse problem but nothings worked until trying these eyedrops. I did some research on my own to see what's best for my condition and found these. I was kinda irritated my dr didn't recommend them sooner since I have a progressive eye disease. It took about a week to notice full benefits...They do sting when you put them in but it goes away. I'm excited because for the first time in a longtime my eyes aren't constantly burning and redness is so much better. You also really can't beat the price. They are less than most lubricating eye drops. I will definitely be ordering more and recommend you do too if you have dry eye/ cornea disease.

Exactly what the doctor recommended.
My canine ophthalmologist put my dog on these for her corneal abrasion. When we ran out I couldn't find them anywhere locally. Was glad to find that Amazon has them and could deliver next day.

Best choice now that other off-brand is gone
Review that complaints of this brand leaving white marks on the face are true. It does leave a chalky residue. However, I can't tell any difference in how it makes my eye feel. It works and is way cheaper than the Muro stuff. I was asked to rate this stuff on the basis of "Moisturizing." It really isn't a moisturizer. I use it to remove excess fluid that builds up overnight in my cornea. If you're looking for something to moisturize dry eyes, there are probably better products for that.

Works the same as the brand name at a much lower price.
This works as well as Miro 128 with a much lower price, and my eye surgeon approved of it. Due to the fact that it's a hypertonic solution it does burn when it's initially used, but the brand name would burn the same. This is used for Fuchs dystrophy of the cornea. People with Fuchs dystrophy typically have swollen corneas and sometimes have microscopic blisters on the surface of the cornea due to the corneas retaining excess water. The swelling cornea can cause blurring of vision, and getting rid of some of the fluid can help the vision for several hours at a time. The hypertonic salt solution removes some of the water through osmosis.

Excellent replacement for Muro (and discontinued Akorn)
We used the Akorn 5% product for a number of years as a far less expensive replacement for Muro 128 5% solution. My wife has to use this product to help manage Fuchs' Dystrophy, and I use it occasionally to both flush out my eyes if dusty, as well as replenish tears (it causes significant tearing with just one drop per eye). When Akorn went out of business, we had to switch back to the far more expensive Muro that we originally used because we could not find another alternative. But we finally found this on Amazon, tried it, and it does just as well as Muro or the previous Akorn product at a much lower price than Muro. We are fully satisfied with this brand. Of the three products, Akorn actually triggered slightly more tearing reaction than Muro, and Rugby seems to trigger just slightly less than Muro. However, it's quite satisfactory for me for occasional use, and my wife says it is also quite satisfactory with her Fuchs' Dystrophy. The slightly lower amount of triggered tears is not a significant negative factor in practical use. We're fully satisfied. ONLY because of the very slight (and minor) differences between the three products, I'm giving this a very high 4-star rating simply because we considered the now-unavailable Akorn product superior. Any of the three are quite adequate for what they were designed to do.
