Works as advertised.
I have only had this camera for a week now. At first, I was going to send it back thinking it was defective. I installed it in my car and ran it for 5 days. Then I wanted to see how the video looked on my computer. To my surprise there was no videos recorded for the whole time. The little red light was blinking saying that it was recording, but the SD card did not have any files for viewing. I could not find any videos in any of the folders on the camera's card. I wasn't sure what to do and was going to send the camera back. But then I re-formatted the SD card in the camera by using the camera's Format option. When I did I found that there was a new folder added called DCIM. That folder was not there when I first installed the camera. Apparently I formatted the SD card on my computer, which did not install the DCIM folder. Now, after driving all day, I opened the DCIM folder and there was all of my day's videos. I feel much better about the camera now. All is well. I will be ordering a second camera for my truck.05/12/2021. I just received the second one to be installed in my truck. Great camera.06/25/2021. Here is a tip: The G-sensor is very sensitive. Just closing the car door will turn the camera on and put the video in a "Lock" mode. This will fill up the SD card very fast. Mine was set for Medium and the SD card filled up after a couple of weeks. I then could not record any more videos and the camera was saying to Format the SD card. I thought I had either a bad SD card or a bad camera. I turned off the G-sensor and Formatted the SD card while it was installed in the camera. That fixed the problem. Another learning curve! Now I will have to select the video lock feature manually. There are several G-sensors setting to choose from. But I did not try any other.Update 1/23/2022 Both cameras are still working perfectly. They are both mounted to the windshields in both vehicles. I live on the hot Mojave Desert. The heat has not caused any problems so far. Over the years I have had many different brands and models of Dash Cameras. One thing is common with all of them, including this camera. The internal battery is very small and doesn't last long when unplugged from the vehicle power source. They all are that way. And they all use a cigarette lighter plug-in for vehicle power. And on occasion they come unplugged. It happens!

Does its job. Long wait for SD card
TLDRThe camera does its job at a reasonable price. 4 stars. The things I think are most important are listed below, before the full review.1. A class 10 or better micro SD card is required. Other/older cards can't write the data from the video to the card fast enough.2. Truly formatting your SD card is not necessary. Make sure it's empty before trying to use it with the camera, and use the camera's "format" function.3. If you choose to get an SD card from Ainhyzic, be prepared for a long wait. It's a free bonus though, at least it was when I bought my camera, and no formatting was necessary to use the card with the camera.FULL REVIEW:The product description tells you that the camera doesn't come with an SD card, but once you get the camera, there's documentation telling you that you can choose either a 24 month warranty or a free 32gb SD card if you contact support. As of right now, I've contacted support, and they say they'll be sending me an SD card soon. In the meantime they asked me to leave a review. So, here's the review.Right now, I can't use the camera. If you try to take any pictures or record any video without an SD card in the camera, it will just prompt you to insert a card, and not let you do anything. I actually have a 2gb and a 64gb micro SD card that both don't work in the camera after formatting the cards on my computer and with the camera's own formatting option. I'm not sure if that's working as designed or not, but there's no (good) reason for any device that's supposed to be compatible with SD cards to reject a card that works with other devices. Also, the camera runs out of power within minutes if it's not plugged in, and it's basically impossible to insert or remove a micro SD card with your bare hands because of how deep you have to push the card into the camera for it to stick. That's not necessarily a big problem for me though, because I can use the corner of a mini SD card to push deep enough into the micro SD slot to insert or remove the micro SD card. As of right now, I have a $50 paperweight. I'll update this review if I get a micro SD card from Ainhyzic that works with the camera, and will actually allow me to use it.UPDATE:It's been several days since I first contacted support, and requested an SD card that they offered for free. I've been told I'll get a tracking number for my card "ASAP", but at this point, it looks like that's just a lie to try and get me to hang on to the camera long enough that I won't be able to return it. Based on the issues I've seen with the camera so far (ridiculously short battery life, inability to work with SD cards I already own) and support's inability to uphold their word, it looks like this is basically junk that should be avoided. Zero stars.UPDATE 2:Things definitely aren't as bad as they seemed at first. So, it turns out there actually is a good reason that this camera, or any camera, doesn't work with certain micro SD cards. I've learned that newer micro SD cards have faster write speeds, which is necessary for the camera to be able to write large amounts of data to the card in real time. So, yes, a class 10 or higher micro SD card is necessary for this camera to be able to work. Speed isn't really important if you plan to just use your SD card for file storage, but if you plan to use a card with a camera, pay attention to the classifications printed on the card. A little research will tell you what kind of card you need depending on how high the quality of the video you want to write to a card will be.Having learned all this, I tried to use the camera with my 64gb sd card, which does happen to be a class 10 card, and it works. I can't really say how well it works just yet because I don't have a car to put it in at the moment, and I've barely tested it. The other issue preventing me from testing this further is that I haven't received an sd card from Ainhyzic yet. I have received messages from Ainhyzic support about the card, and I've been given a tracking number for the card they say they're sending to me. That's good, but looking up the shipment on the tracking site provided by support indicates that the card is "inbound in sorting center" in China. It's been stuck in that status for about a week, which is not so good. So, right now I'm still waiting for the sd card Ainhyzic says they're sending me, and I intend to update this review again when I get the card or if it looks like I'm not going to get it. I feel comfortable changing the rating to at least 3 stars for now, since I have been able to confirm that the camera does work with a class 10 card. As for why the card didn't seem to work for me the first time I tried it, I think the problem might have been that I still had other files on the card before I tried to use it with the camera. You don't need to truly format your micro SD card to get it to work with this camera, but I think you do need to have an empty card. So, backup then delete anything on your card before trying to use it with the camera. Once you've inserted it into the camera, use the camera's "format" option to prepare the card, and it should work.FINAL UPDATE:I finally got my SD card from Ainhyzic and a car to use it in. The card and camera both work fine. I didn't even have to use the camera's "format" function to start using the SD card they sent me. The long wait for the card was due to the fact that it has to ship from China, which means it has to go through a processing center, wait to be part of a shipment that's flying to the US, go through customs, etc. Things worked out pretty well in the end though. 4 stars.

Honest Review.. Don't trust the 5 star reviews!
First thing i noticed when I opened the box was a voucher to leave a 5 star review and get a free amazon gift card for $10 or an SD card.. So, I wouldn't trust the excellent reviews on here.I wasn't expecting much for the price when I got the camera. The cheap look, feel and picture quality is about the same as the "HD" China go-pro cameras you can get. The set up was fairly easy and straightforward. And I did everything inside before I mounted it in my car.Fast forward to mounting it in my car, suction cup thing with it is awesome. Motion sensor, and G shock sensor would not work. I had to manually go back into the camera to turn it back on, as soon as I shut the car off and the USB shut off it completely reset again!! So now, the only way to actually record is to keep it constantly on record. Plus side is, it handles a 128gb sd card. But I have to format it every week.As far as video quality goes, you are not gonna see someone's plate unless you're on top of them. Night time is pretty useless as well unless you're living in the city. All in all, it works at recording non stop. When this eventually dies I'm definitely going to shell out the money for a good one.
