Do these work for lefties too or just for righties?

Yes they work for lefties. My daughter is left handed and I bought these for her at the reccomendation of her OT specialist at school. She loves them.

I have many and I can't twist the top to turn the lead or place a new lead in. The tops won't turn in either direction any more. Help!?

It is important when replacing the lead to first use the tool that comes with a refill package of lead to push the old lead out. You will find refills on Amazon or Twist n Write Pencils that come with a refill package. You can also use a straightened paper clip inserted in the small hole located at the base of the pencil between the wings.

what size are these pencils? Do they work for adults with swollen, arthritic fingers?

My husband ordered pens and pencils because he has tremors he says they might help you with your swollen arthritic fingers also. They are about 31/2 inches long.
