Prestige Milk Boiler PMB 1.0

Did trials of the automated milk boiler Pros 1. Kind of artificial intelligence - put the milk to boil & go to sleep no problem 2. Slower gentle heating at 500W - will not destroy milk nutrition 3. Other milk boiler need to be filled with water & whistle comes so someone again has to rush to burner to switch off 4. Economics - electricity is cheaper than LPG 5. Sustainability - Electricity can be created from solar wind but finite gas reserves 6. Milk burn creates stains & sticks on utensils bottom needing hard cleaning - no such problems here Cons : 1. Green led is heating & Red led is idle. In all heating appliances Red is heating & Green is idle - wrote to Prestige customer care 2. Can handle only 1 liter of milk 3. Slow electric heating takes approx 15 minutes - LPG would take 7-8 minutes 4. The bottom base if water enters while cleaning it will corrode the electronics - it comes with a rubber stopper but still 5. Most expensive way to heat - pot / patila less than 300 - water based whistle milk boiler under 500 - this is 2000/ 6. Limited availability online - only Amazon could find - only 1 brand Prestige - limited service center's

I faced 2 issues: 1.Frequently it switches off even before milk becomes hot and we need to keep switching on. Without boiling light turns red. 2. Many times boiled milk overflows and spills out as shown in the photo which is not supposed to happen. 1.Subsequently I gave it to Prestige Service as advised by customer care officer. It was returned back after service, but I realised nothing was done when I again started using. When I contacted customer care again, they talk irresponsibly asking me to contact head office. 2.Again I gave to another service centre as suggested by Prestige. The product was returned back after one month but the issue was unresolved. 3.Again I handed over to the service centre as suggested by the branch manager. Even after 4 weeks it is not returned back. Branch manager has stopped picking up my calls Now I forget about this product. I request Amazon to not to promote this Prestige milk boiler

The product is really good and and is as per the description. But sometimes the automatic indicator is not working. Not sure if there is problem with this model sensors.

I have been using this in the US for a year now with the help of a step up transformer(LOL). I love how it makes chai/tea. The slow boiling makes the tea taste as good as roadside chai may be because of the multiple boiling before the the power is cut off. Getting the same taste on a stove made chai is frustrating as you need to wait in front of it and ensure it simmers on a low flame without spilling over. OTOH in this boiler I just add 400ml of water + 400ml of milk + 4 spoon tea powder + 4 elaichi + 6 spoons of sugar and turn it on. 20 mins later simmering hot chai is ready without any supervision. Adding of sugar reduces the milk sticking to the bottom of the vessel.

DO NOT BUY THIS! Terrible product. It either doesn’t boil the milk properly or it boils too much and the over heated milk over flows through the lid and makes a mess. Prestige customer care is very good but the technicians are very badly trained. Three times got the first one serviced and failed. Then Amazon got it replaced with the new one. Sadly the same story again. Now I am getting a refund from Amazon. Terrible terrible product from Prestige.

I am so much satisfied with this product. After reading a few negative comments I was really confused whether to buy it or not. But now after using it I feel totally satisfied with my decision of purchasing it. Now coming to the product details what I love most about it is the stainless steel body and the auto cut off. It turns off automatically once the milk boils. Also it has a single body without any joints which makes it very easy to clean. The best part with this milk boiler is that the brand has given a cover for the bottom of the kettle to use it while washing so that water doesn't run into it. So fur I haven't seen any other brands providing cover with kettle. I have also prepared milk tea step by step and it performed efficiently. You cannot exceed more than 1 litre of liquid and there is a mark given inside which should not be exceeded. For me it was a good purchase.
