Why didn't I buy this years ago!! Saw this type of cutter on many YouTube tutorials so treated myself. Usually use pinking zigzag scissors. The cutter is so easy and accurate leaving lovely neat edges. Good size A3 cutting mat and the mini clips were a revelation! Ordered more, so much easier than pinning and doesn't damage fabric. Pins in the set are no good, blunt/rough and heads came off but had my old faithfuls anyway.

The mat is heavy, seals well, and the markings match my ruler and tape measure and ruler to within ½mm (good far a cutting mat).The cutter and spare blades seem sharp, and stable when used. The safety lock is a little prone to jamming (still brand new), but mostly works. Blade change doesnt require extra tools, but there is a small washer that may be easy to loose. The markings on the blade are fairly difficult to read in use.The ruler is clear and measures up well to other rulers and measures. There is some frosting and chipping around the hole, but this is not a big issue for most work. The yellow highlighting is a little off in places, but the black marks seem precise and accurate.The pens are fairly pale, and dont show on the fabric im using. Both are the same pale blue. Test before using.The pins are fairly standard, cheap, plastic head pins. Work fine, but expect the colour to flake off over time, and don't get near heat. The plastic ring they come on was bent, but nothing else in the box was.The clips are fairly large for sewing clips, with wide jaws. The springs are very strong, and the plastic is brittle. Some of them have broken just by the force required to open them.The tape measure is 60in or 150cm, and the metric side is accurate to within 1mm at 1m.The craft knife is a pretty standard handle, and grips the blade well. A little heavy on the handle for my preferance, but not enogh to make it unusable. The blades are sharp, but are loosong thier edge very fast. There are 6 blades provided, one in the handle.The stitch ripper has a rough surface, and will probably not get used much.The packaging includes a lot of plastic, much of it unneeded. I understand the need for a hard plastic container for the sharp items, but the cutting board, ruler, wheel of pins, etc. could easily be in paper, card, or some even loose in the box.

Für den Preis ein tolles Anfängerset.. Würde ich wieder kaufen.. Die Schneidematte verträgt wirklich einiges.. Viele bunte Klammern.. Die Stifte zum Anzeichen sind nicht so meins, aber das ist ja Geschmackssache.. Das Skalpell ist wirklich schön scharf und der Schneidroller auch, wenn auch nur kurze Zeit, aber das ist für den Preis völlig ok..

War bei der ersten Anwendung etwas kompliziert. Schneidet aber sehr gut.

The pins bent the first time I used them (cotton fabric). The rotor cutter struggled to cut then the third time the blade broke off the handle, now it does not work at all. The clips dont actually clasp correctly. The mat is lovely and so is the ruler.
