Is the filter B to small of a filter for 29 gallon or should I purchase larger filter with size C?

The replacement cartridge Rite Size B fits the Penguin 150 which is for tanks up to 30 gallons. The replacement filter cartridge Rite Size C fits the Penguin 200 which is for tanks up to 50 gallons and the Penguin 350 which is for tanks up to 70 gallons. How often do I need to replace the cartridge?

I rinse the cartridges once a week and change AFTER a water change and vacuuming. Immediately after the vacuuming and water change I rinse the old cartridge and leave it in until the tank cloudiness gas settled. This ensures the sediments have been collected in the old filters before I switch to the new ones.
