Does this actually send 4k video resolution (3840x2160) to your computer? Or is it a 4k lens that sends the video at 1080p resolution (1920x1080)?

No. It only does 1440p video. I purchased this and then returned it and purchased a different one that actually does 4k video.

Can this be mounted to a 1/4" mounting screw?

This mounts to the same tripods as our digital cameras and other webcams... Not sure of the actual size.

Need help? my camera is zoomed in to approximately 2x in skype and zoom... and cannot be changed. i can zoom out in windows 10 camera app.

This is a very simple camera with no settings, fixed focus, great microphone, if you need lots of bells and whistles buy the logitech Brio

How do I zoom out? The whole image is basically just my face. I have it mounted on top of my monitor (standard distance).

Most cheap standard webcams are like this. Some decent ones come with wide angle lenses, but this one does not. You need a wide angle or wide field/wide lens webcam.
