This is my first experience with an electronic lighter. After a few weeks,,, we like it. There are differences using the electric arc compared to a flame. When lighting a propane fogger, successfully starting the flame seems more sensitive to where you hold the arc compared to a flame. Another challenge for an arc lighter is lighting tiki torches. Using an arc to start a heavily carbonized wick didn't work as easily as a flame. After cleaning the wick a bit and shaking fuel up into the wick, the arc lighter worked okay. Worked best sticking the point of the arc INTO the wet wick. If held "near" the wick it won't light. A flame lighter we would only need to hold close to the wick ... if lighting tiki torches is your primary use for the arc lighter, maybe consider sticking with a flame lighter? After daily use for two summer weeks with storage outside, the battery indicates "fully" charged! Assuming that it lasts a few years, we really like this arc lighter.

I got this for my mom and I. I like these for candle use because I always end up burning myself trying to light a candle so this works awesomely. Then my mom smokes so I got her this so she’ll never have to worry about a lighter again long as she has this. Even if it died, just charge it up and boom, it’s back bby. Saves alot in the long run if you’re a smoker you’ll understand lighter problems and constantly losing them or misplacing them or having to have millions of them around to make sure you always have one.

These are great. Work well, battery life is long. The only complaint is from my 14yo son. He claims they make a high pitched noise when lighting similar to getting a hearing test. I would assume similar to a dog whistle, but for children. I thought he was making it up until I started randomly turning it on when he was on a different floor, different room and completely out of range. He heard it every single time. Strange! Other than that, I don't have to continue buying lighters. Oh and the hook makes it very convenient for hanging.

Worked for one birthday party, lit some candles. Picked it up a few months later, didnt work, charged all day, lights up but no flame. Save your money and use a real lighter or get another product.

I’m obsessed with these things, I’m not a fan of lighters since I’m pretty clumsy and tend to burn myself/other things. This has been so helpful, I just use it to light candles which it’s perfect for. Love that I can recharge it but I’ve been using it almost every day for a couple months now and only just yesterday did one of the 5 charging lights go down, so I think the battery is pretty good! Only complaint is the sound, it’s like a dog whistle. The futuristic look totally makes up for it, though.

Ordered these and the long flexible ones from another vendor. This one is much better ( and less expensive) because of the safety feature. I tested the other one out and since it did not have a safety feature like this one does I almost set the box on fire. I forgot to switch it off and accidentally hit the power button as I put it back in the box. It burnt the box before I realized that I had left the switch on. It’s difficult to do that with this lighter so I will be ordering more of these.

Anybody who has seen some of my other product reviews knows I can be quite critical. But this little lighter is really cool! After using one of those, what I call "gun" lighters for many years, this is like a breath of fresh air. Super easy to use. I don't know about the battery life yet but have used it for a month and still see three lights so, at least so far, great! I would highly recommmend.

The media could not be loaded. I burn a lot of incense but wanted something easier than striking box matches or the standard cigarette lighter. It is very easy to use and can burn very thick incense too. It came two in a pack so I can keep one upstairs and downstairs. Someone with arthritis will find these much easier to use. I’m going to buy a few more as gifts.
