Where is it made from?

Meridol was originally made in Germany by a company called GABA GmbH.; however, since GABA was acquired by Colgate-Palmolive in 2003, it is now manufactured by their plant in Świdnica, Poland which is in the EU. I have used Meridol for over 20 years and I am still satisfied with its quality.

Does this help with receding gums?

Most likely, it doesn't help with receding gums. I mainly use it because for me, it is a gentle toothpaste which does not irritate my gums. Before I started using Meridol, many toothpastes irritated my gums and oral cavity to the point of causing pain.
