Surprisingly adhesive. Works wonderful
I was a little skeptical on how this would stay on, but so far it has been magnificent. Just remember to use the heat like a hairdryer or a heat gun after application to make sure it really sticks because because it hasn’t come off in four months.

Sleek and Easy to Apply
The VViViD Matte Black Vinyl Wrap Adhesive Film is fantastic! The 1ft x 2ft sheet offers plenty of coverage and the matte black finish adds a sleek, modern look. Application is a breeze thanks to the air release feature, which ensures a smooth, bubble-free finish. It’s durable and transforms surfaces beautifully. Highly recommended for its quality and ease of use!

Best of many challenging options.
Very easy to install on a flat surface in a cool room. But! You might need to install this outside (we don't have a garage) or under warmer conditions (hey, you only get the time you get) or on a highly curved surface (like... parts of many car panels). And it's hard. The videos make it look easier than it is. I'm handy, and it's still tough. A couple hours to do the hood, and there are imperfections that annoy me.When it gets warm, it gets too sticky, and then it's hard to adjust and get air bubbles out.If you need to wrap onto contours, it will want to wrinkle. It's very challenging to get it to lay flat. Sometimes, for large enough contours, it just cannot stretch enough to lay on the surface.Getting the edges right is tough. The material will contract slightly when heated, or recoil slightly from the stretching you needed to do to get it into place, revealing the material underneath. It's tough to cut it evenly, and *not* to scratch the surfaces underneath. It's tough to heat up the material enough to get the stretch you need without overheating it. In the videos people use blow torches, but this is very tricky. The best tool for us, in the end, was just a hair dryer. The end result in our case was that most sections of the material look awesome, maybe 99.9%. But that last 0.1% is noticeable if you're looking for it: little wrinkles in a couple contoured spots, little exposed edges near difficult-to-cut spots, and some places where the matte has relaxed into more of a shiny finish in overheated spots. If you realllly want to change the color of a panel of your car, and you don't want to pay a professional or make it permanent, then this is probably the best option. Just get ready for several hours of frustrating work and an imperfect finish.

Saved us from sun glare on my truck!
I cut and put strips on the back of my truck hood scoop that faces the windshield. The sun glare was awful, but this flat matte vinyl wrap did the trick. Good price, easy to work with and would buy again.

Very forgiving
I purchased this to use it off label. I found a deal on a dishwasher that was too good to pass on despite it being the wrong finish. I watched a few videos, took the door apart and got started. Most videos talk about two people doing the work. It was just me for the dishwasher door. Being that it was a smaller piece I was able to use the heat gun and various squeegee tools I had from a tint kit to work out any creases or bubbles. The heat gun is the biggest factor with this film. It let's you work out the imperfections that an amateur like me would have had to live with otherwise. It also helps to shrink it tight over curves and folds. Other than the shade being slightly different from the other appliances it looks like it was purchased with the matte black finish. I can only tell the difference when I hold the panel up to the other appliances. Sitting in place however you would have to know what you are looking for to notice. Durability seems to be good. I have 4 kids and it is a dishwasher, so it does experience some abuse. It has been on around 2 months now and I do not see any wear. I figure if I do see anything that is bothersome over the years I can remove and replace. This is better than the original because I would be stuck with it. It is also easier to keep clean that the stainless steel. I would recommend giving it a try even if you haven't put on vinyl before. Just watch some videos for tips, use the heat gun to fix your mistakes, and be patient. Very pleased with the results myself.

Used when paint was peeling off my Thinkpad
The paint was coming off one of my laptops; apparently it is hard to properly paint magnesium alloys, and Lenovo's factories for my model were not up to the job. I scraped off all the paint that was peeling or close to it, cut a piece of this wrap to cover the case of the laptop, and applied it over both the scraped area and the area where there is still paint. It looks fine, and doesn't seem to affect the laptop's internal temperature.I have other laptops which are covered in that horrible rubber soft-touch coating that deteriorates after a few years; this should be good for those as well, though I think all the goop would have to be removed first.

Extremely poor adhesion
I've used several brands of vinyl, including Vvivid, to wrap various surfaces in the past. Honestly this is one of the worst wraps I've used. Maybe I just got a bad roll, but the adhesion on this is terrible. Even with heat and minimal to no stretching, it does not want to stay adhered to surfaces. All surfaces were prepped appropriately, and varied between metal, ABS, PLA, clearcoated sheet metal, raw aluminum, etc and every surface this vinyl just wanted to peel back off. If you want it to even remotely stick, you need to use adhesion promoter and heat the vinyl to the point it's nearly melting all the way through, which results in uneven color and some spots that look glossier rather than matte. I've used plenty of other matte wraps that didn't have this issue, but I'll never purchase this particular combo again.

I wish it was a bit thin and but more sticky
Product size bought - 9ft x 5ftThe wrap is a bit thick and can sometimes be a bit hard to work with. What this means is you will always need a heat gun to work it. Also, it does tend to come off a bit from the edges. That being said, it is an adequate product and and works decent. It does need a bit of practice to get used to it. I recommend trying the wrap on a small part before doing a final install.

Awesome wrap!
Used this wrap to tint the gloss black areas of my 2017 dodge challenger tail lights. Not a fan of the gloss look since the rest of the cars trim and vinyl are matte black. This is the perfect solution. Install was simple with a bit of knifeless tape and a heat gun. Will definitely be using this again

Hard to work with and doesn’t stick well
Vinyl is much thicker than other brands making it harder to wrap smaller pieces. Adhesive also doesn’t stick well, it kept peeling back from the edges and ultimately the whole thing look horrible. Ended up throwing it all out.
