A definite page-turner. Five star effort by the author!
I’m not much of a reader but when I came across this book, I decided to give it a go especially since it’s inspired by the Indian Special Forces (IAF Garud Commandos). While I have every respect for our Armed Forces, this book elevated my appreciation on their dedication to a whole new level. The book was a page-turner, spunky, and forced me to finish it in a single sitting. I just couldn’t put it down. The humour, the emotional struggle of Ahana Lamba, the friendships, the longing for love and family, the ups and downs portrayed so beautifully in the motivational military backdrop was inspiring to say the least. My favourite character in the book was Yashpal Jora, the comical project manager in Leh, and my favourite quote “there’s no cure for stupidity“. I found him hysterical.I’m very pleasantly surprised that this book is the authors first foray into creative writing. Good job! Hope to see more!

A gripping ‘One sitting ‘ read
OMG ! What a story !!! After a long time I got such a wonderful book to read. It was very difficult for me to take break because so much engrossed in the roller coaster ride of Ahana’s life.‘To catch us you must be fast, to fight us you must be strong, but to beat us, you must be kidding.’ From the very first line, I was hooked and in awe of the patriotism, dedication and bravery of our Indian Armed Forces.I thoroughly enjoyed the journey from the deserts of Jaisalmer, to the jungles of Mizoram, to the snowy winters of Jammu and Kashmir and it was really easy to flow with the writer’s imagination and feel like you are also part of the story, standing next to the characters and watching the events.I also felt emotionally attached in Ahana’s life...her past, her childhood, her difficult times, her friendship with Dana Dixit and above all her relationship with her love Maverick, another powerful character.Beauty is that the author, throughout in the novel, merged the past with the present so to give us the perfect glimpse into Ahana’s state of mind.I recommend this book and give it 5 Stars for the story and 100/100 for the gripping descriptions and the strong inspiring characters.

Fantastic read! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
For me ‘Shall we Tango, Charlie?’ is a book unlike any that I have come across in recent times. It has a good balance of humor, emotions, action, thrills and patriotism. Some scenes were very touching especially the ones with Aunt Shashi, while some very thrillingly situations like the Desert and Jungle warfare training of Garud commandos.I wish the author all the best and hope to read further works from her.

Flying high into Boy’s Club
IAF. A Dream with WINGS. That’s inspiring. Well that’s exactly what Ahana’s character is all about. Thrill, Josh, patriotism, Love , A must read for young girls. I have even recommended to my friend Wng Cmdr Mr A Bhatia (IAF). A lot of research has gone into describing the story. Taking the reader from Snow peaked mountains of J&K to Thar desert and then scenic greens hills of Mizoram.

An emotional rollercoaster! What a ride!
I can't believe this has been penned by a friend.I have known the author (Chetna) for quite a few years and had been eagerly waiting to read her latest venture. But frankly, one page in and I completely forgot that I had any affiliation with the author. I was effortlessly pulled into the world of Ahana Lamba, the rebellious Garud Commando with a devil-may-care attitude and was thouroughly enjoying the journey. She is strong, sensitive, compassionate, funny, Ahana is someone I would like to know - a character unlike others. What I loved most about the book was learning about the Special Forces (Garuds) in a fiction format. I had no idea such a unit existed within the Indian Air Force and the rigorous training they go through to serve and protect our country. What was more interesting was the fictional liberty taken by the author towards imagining a woman's journey towards being a Garud (a category which is currently closed to female recruits). It was almost a non-preachy way of saying "Wouldnt it be nice if a woman made it in there?'. I liked that. The friendship shared between Ahana and Dana resonated with me most that I could draw comparisons with in real life. It was an emotional rollercoaster and what a ride!I look forward to reading further works by the author and cant wait to congratulate her in person. Well done!
