Awesome Product
Easy-Peasy!! You will need this cable if you plan on updating your Dell Optiplex (9020) system to new non-Dell PSU as Dell usings a proprietary 8-socket motherboard power connection. This will enable you to connect the motherboard to any non-Dell PSU. A must for upgrading!

Such a handy adspter
I got this to upgrade my Dell precision 3620 power supply from the 265w it came with to a 600w non proprietary PSU. Works perfectly and is now running a rtx 3060 12gb video card with the i7 7700k it came with. Great for a budget build, highly recommended.

Worked in Dell Inspiron 3670
Computer came with just a 290 watt power supply. Adapter allowed me to replace with a 600 watt power supply.

Everything was nice and tight
This adapter worked seamlessly in my Dell Optiplex 3020. Due to a comment left in the item's ratings; I verified that all of the wires were secure to each of the harnesses by tugging slightly on each wire. Everything was nice and tight. I was able to install an EVGA SUPERNOVA 650G2 80+G power supply with no issues. When securing the power supply to the PC housing you will need to press down slightly on the power supply to line up the screw holes. In my case I also removed the existing cable from the motherboard to the peripherals and opted to power the peripherals from the power supply itself. Everything works great!

24 pin to 8 pin ATX Power Supply Adapter Cable for DELL Optiplex
Purchased this product to upgrade the power supply on a Dell Optiplex 9020 experiment I was doing. Essential. Well crafted and does exactly what it is supposed to do.Funny story. This wasn't my first choice. I purchased a cable such like this from another vendor that got lost in the mail twice. While waiting for the second one to arrive (couldn't stand waiting anymore) I ordered from this vendor and it arrived the next day and the second one from the other guy got lost in the mail again.Excellent product, excellent product, excellent transaction.

Works. Allows generic ATX PSU to be used with Optiplex 3020
No rocket science here. Does what it's supposed to: convert the pin-out of a standard power supply to that of the custom pin-out needed for various models of Dell business PCs. I converted a 5-year old Optiplex 3020 into an entry level, 1080p gaming computer for an 11-year old. Upgraded the CPU, RAM, and installed a GeForce 1650 GPU. Had a bronze 430W power supply sitting around, and knew the stock Dell one would be marginal with the upgrades. This adapter cable allowed the standard PSU to connect. Works as expected.

Works as described
Item works as described, converts 20+4 pin male to Dell 8 pin male.Trivial complaint, but I chose this particular cable based on the color, and it's different. Not that I am ever gonna see it, except for maintenance days.

Dell Optiplex Power Supply Upgrade? You NEED this!
This 24pin to 8 pin ATX adapter REALLY is a MUST HAVE if you are changing the power supply from the Dell OEM to a generic ATX power supply on a Dell Optiplex 9020 Mini Tower. This will allow you to install a standard size ATX 500-750 Watt power supply into the original Dell Optiplex 9020 chassis utilizing the same screw holes and lower mounting tab. A power supply of 750W is overkill for this application because there is only one slot for a graphics card on the Dell Optiplex motherboard. This means you can get away with 500-600 Watt standard ATX size power supply with ease.It is assumed that you will be adding a graphics card that requires additional power from the power supply rails which the OEM Dell power supply DOES NOT provide.Once this adapter is connected to the power supply 24 pin and motherboard 8 pin receivers everything powers up as normal. There is no need for extra settings or BIOS prep. It just plain works as is.
