Accuracy is good, makes salinity testing very easy. Nice box including 3 pipettes and calibration tool. Also a cleaning cloth. Much better than a hydrometer if you want to be precise.UPDATE: after 4 weeks of cycling my tank I went and bought my first fish. The salinity at the LFS was at 1.022 and I had mine set at 1.025. While acclimating the fish I checked the water from the LFS and it showed 1.027! I knew something is wrong immediately. Apparently my refractometer was way off and needed calibrating. Calibrated it as per instructions, double checked it with a hannah salinity meter and it still showed wrong salinity. I simply don't trust it anymore for my tank and will buy something else instead. Inconsistent results is a no no for something that critical!

Difficult to use and not overly accurate. Wanted it to test the alcohol levels in homemade kombucha. It required quite a bit of scientific research to try and figure it out.

I cannot really say at the moment as I am in the process of starting a saltwater aquarium, however this particular product was highly recommended by my friend for accuracy and good value for money. I will update shortly.

Seems functional, however, you MUST carry out a calibration before using as the value was out by about 10% and needed adjusting.After adjustments it is a perfectly functional refractometer for a cheap price!

I was worried after purchasing this it would be awkward to use but it’s so easy!I use it a lot for the salinity of our marine fish tank and it’s a life saver.Another good point is the case that comes with it making it easy to store and keep in pristine condition
