Q: Would this be good for a laptop case? I notice it doesn't have any velcro tie-down straps, so I think it the laptop would move around too much.

Not very good quality here. One of the latches broke on mine after very little use. My advice - buy a case made for a laptop.

Q: can the interior part on the inside top be removed that hold in the accessories? I need to glue foam in the top and bottom for our sales kits.

I have not tried that . From the looks , it is held in place by adhesive. I don't see that you couldn't remove that part and replace it with foam ! I see where your going and I'm sure you can accomplish it. Hope it helps!
