Although this is sold as an exfoliating soap, I think it’s more of a cleansing soap because of its ingredients. It importantly contains kojic acid, which helps in the removal of dirt, blackheads, and whiteheads. This ingredient cannot in itself lighten natural dark skin, but does have properties which enable the user to lighten non-normal pigmentation caused by freckles, age spots, acne scars, or melasma. Kojic acid also acts as an antioxidant.I found that this quickly produced a lovely creamy lather, and has a subtle pleasant fragrance. To receive the full benefits, it’s best to use your Geisha soap in the evening, then leave it on your skin for 10 - 30 seconds before rinsing off. As stated on the packaging, its important to additionally apply an SPF cream to your bare skin before you venture outdoors. Given my positive experience of using this soap, and it’s reasonable price, I have no hesitation in recommending this product to fellow Amazon customers.

I’ve been using this soap for over a week now and I have to say I think it’s working. I suffer from acne no matter what I do and thought I’d give this a chance. It’s a large bar of soap so a little goes a long way and will last for a long time. Although it’s a peachy colour this doesn’t stain the skin and doesn’t have a chemical smell. It’s really quite pleasant in fragrance. It lathers well and doesn’t leave your skin feeling uncomfortable.I don’t normally like using a bar of soap on my face due to having sensitive skin, but I have been using this and breakouts don’t seem to be occurring as badly. For the amount you get in net weight the price is good value. If I’m honest and it’s something that helps with breakouts I’d pay.

After my wife washed her face with it the night before, her skin felt very refreshing, but she soon felt dry. She quickly applied her skin care products to herself. She washed her face with this soap 4 times, and then Pimples started to develop on her face. Maybe it is not suitable for all skin types.

A nice sized bar of exfoliating soap, with a good weight to it.I like a nice exfoliating scrub in the morning, it gets your skin all shiny and bright for the morning ahead.The soap contains Kojic Acid mixed with Coconut Oil; Konica acids prevents the body from making melolin, so if your planning on going out in the sun after using this, I would put some SPF cream on. The coconut oil will work as a moisturiser.A perfect mix to moisturize, lighten and soften your complexion and lathers up really quickly. It has a faint aroma of orange or tangerine, which smells really nice first thing in the morning.It’s supposed to reduce acne scarring, only time will tell.

This soap has ruined my face and made me even more darker and also gave me more spots on my face

It's been a while since I used soap bars rather than shower gel.This works well on my oily skin, specifically on my face where it removes greasy oils and it doesn't dry out my skin either, which is always a good sign. It's likewise good for the rest of my body too. It builds a nice lather when wet enough.It doesn't have a strong scent, unlike seemingly all body gels, which in my view is a good thing.I'm not sure what the Kojic Acid does, if anything at all beyond a marketing message, so cannot confirm one way or the other regarding that.Recommended.

I’ve tried other Kojic acid soaps and this one is by far the most effective at improving skin discolouration.
