Good quality, nice to use
The pencils are blendable and vibrant and easy to use even though thinner than usual Derwent artist grade pencils. A 24 pencil set is sufficient though ideally the strawberry shade should have been a true to name shade (pink toned red) instead of a brown tone red as that is missing in the set. Also close and easily achievable shades like lilac and violet, light blue and blue, strawberry and raisin could have been better varied by having shades like Mars violet, Ultramarine, a cool toned Red. Also, it's essential to have information on lightfastness as this is being marketed as professional pencils. Nevertheless, it's still a very good set.Now on the retailer and delivery. The box was completely dented and one nib was broken. I just feviquicked it to avoid going through the hassle of changing but this retailer will just not bubble wrap these delicate art materials though this is not the first time they have sent dented boxes and damaged products. It's extremely frustrating to see them waste these expensive products by not wrapping with either bubble wrap or extra cardboard, leading to damage that most consumers won't accept.

Smooth!
They are smooth and soft textures..similar to prismacolor. While the blending ability can be compared to Prismas, you have to work a little harder for that creamy layering and blending. Color selection pretty standard..I wish they release bigger sets in the future. One of the barrel tip was damaged.

ChromaFlow is Blow! Thats it.
Chromaflow ✏️✏️🌺🌺Review -Excellent pigment quality - impress meBlending and layering quality is superb ,cant expect this level. While you apply over paper (i have use @strathmoreart grey toner paper 📜),u feel like smooth butter top of the bread , like your morning breakfast .Actually chromaflow is blowout of my mind. One small problem is that point Strength is not hurdy, but it's doesn't big deal, its upon to you.My RankingLightfast 5/5Blending 5/5Layering 4.5/5Point Strength 4/5Intensity 4.5/5Overall 4.8/5.

Macios e cores vibrantes

Skinny pencils blend well, sharpen well (with Dahle 133), 2 dodgy but 30 of 72 are super lightfast!
These are soft blendable pencils that also don't mind solvent blending unlike Derwent's Coloursoft. I like them more than their Artist range!I bought a couple of 24 tins when Chromaflow first came out as the max available but not in singles or open stock. Of that 19 pencils were 7 or 8 on Blue Wool Scale ie very good to excellent lightfastness. (The tins are also great for urban sketching.) The max range 72 is still not available nor are singles in my country X(These are skinny pencils that will suit kids or the smaller handed (yep), but likely not the injured or arthritic (yep). Even Derwent's own pencil extenders won't fit. So you'll need a different brand (Staedtler's Japanese made 900 25 does fit btw).Delivery from Amazon UK was prompt, very well packaged (cardboard thank you), but still some scratches on the lid as it wasn't plastic wrapped like the rest of it. Meh.I've had no sharpening issues with these pencils- using a Dahle 133 hand crank without changing the settings between Chromaflows, Polychromos, Pablo, Coloursoft (just 4), Lightfast, Luminance (see picture for first two side by side). It's *much* quicker than the 3 Kum I used to use (2 hole, Long Point and Auto Long Point) or Bruynzeel 2 hole sharpener. But then I keep my sharpener blades sharp and clean (run a graphite pencil through occasionally). Coloursoft tips crumble at lower pressure than Chromaflow, as will a few of the Luminance (ie 140, 649 even 155).Two of the 72 are visibly dodgy- Red Orange 0430 lead has orange blotches meaning probably unmixed pigment; Pear 1810 external casing near pencil end feels as awful as it looks (see photos). I'm hoping these issues don't extend the full pencil but won't find out for some time yet. These aren't in with my good pencils anyway due poor lightfast ratings. So I'm not that upset if they are a bit dodge.30 of 72 are rated at 8 ie excellent lightfastness, so have been pulled from the 3 level tin (the bottom layer isn't shown). This includes two metallic pencils if that suits you, the Gold 2600 being even better than the Polychromos Gold 250 which is just as scratchy and useless as its Copper 252. (For metallic pencils Derwent's separately sold 20 set are worth the investment.)However take the lightfastness info for what little it's worth- some months ago I used Derwent info to buy some LFI rated pencils in their Lightfast range (at $5 a pencil this isn't cheap). The pencils arrived bearing a lower LF2 rating ie NOT what was advertised. Writing the company to query I'm still yet to find out why the US/UK/Australia Derwent pages respective lightfastness downloads all state the same LF1 applies to Lightfast brand pencils that are physically marked LF2. If I was Jesse or Kinsey Lane I'd probably have an answer already. Meh. (So I'm staying with Luminance, Pablo and Polychromos. Chromaflows are still fun to use!)
