Got a new fridge without an ice maker on the door. This scoop works great for the ice tray. It doesn’t get too cold and is a good size. Happy with purchase.

A bit too big for what I wanted it for, but solid build and definitely seems like it would last a really long time. I use it as an ice scoop and keep it in the ice bucket of my freezer, and while a bit large it works well.

This thing lives in my fridges ice container. It never lets me down. Scoops the ice perfectly. It doesn't frost over and isn't super cold to the touch like a metal scoop would be. I am more than satisfied with it's performance. I occasionally abuse it by using it to break up stuck together ice. It holds up to the abuse, shows no sign of wear.

This product is PERFECTLY safe to use. Don't let BPA stop you. This is not a product you store food in or drink liquids out of. It is a hard plastic that does not come in contact with acidic water or foods for long, extended periods of time. The BPA will not leech out when used in hard plastics like in this ice scoop -- It is relatively inert. We have used this exact Rubbermaid ice scoop in a commercial setting for over 20 years and it is still strong. We even wash it in a commercial dishwasher. Not brittle, not compromised, not degrading, and likely not leeching chemicals from the plastic.The size (6oz) is perfect for home use. One scoop is enough to fill a larger glass almost full with ice.
