My dad lives in assisted living and the facility doesn't offer a vast array of condiments. I can understand them not necessarily offering "hot sauce" type condiments because some of the residents don't always realize what they are getting into. Dad has always loved Cholula, it's his favorite and he really missed having this. He wanted me to get him a bottle of Cholula but I wasn't sure it was such a great idea since he's practically blind. I know he would keep the bottle in his walker basket and likely would not get the lid on correctly and it would leak out and make a huge mess. Also, a glass container provides yet another opportunity for disaster as well as safety concern as he can barely see he often dropping items.I came to Amazon to see what options there might be and was delighted to find Cholula readily available in these packets. I placed an order and my dad was really surprised and happy when he opened the box.Yes, 200 packets seems like a lot BUT the shelf life is good and my dad loves to share with the other residents! We had this same scenario with ketchup. The facility offers it but often seemed to be "out" on hamburger day (REALLY)! That problem was easily solved thanks to Amazon; I was able to purchase a box of 250 ketchup packets. The ketchup was quite popular and within 6 months they were gone. I anticipate the Cholula might not be quite as popular so it may last longer. Regardless, I love that something so simple can bring so much joy into the lives of others.I want to note that delivery was prompt and I was especially impressed that not a single one of the 200 packets had leaked inside the box!

Exactly how I expected it. Packaged well and its the real thing. I love that I can carry a few packets in my purse and don't have to worry about my food not being flavorful when I eat out. It makes everything tastes delicious. I love it.

This is my fav hot sauce, use it on everything, not watery like other brands and adds perfect amount of heat. Came sealed and delicious as ever, way better than Tabasco and Louisiana.

Way better to get the jug to refil the bottle or just use straight from the jug. My family goes through it crazy fast. The quality is the same, the price point is way better.

Cholula is a mild, but nicely flavored hot sauce. Granted, I have a very high tolerance for hot sauces — my go-to brand that I casually apply to nearly anything is Tabasco which ranges from as low as 3,500 to upwards of 8000 Scovilles (usually around 5000). Cholula, by contrast, is a mere 1,000 scovilles.I wouldn't keep Cholula on hand except for one reason: PopcornA friend of mine introduced me to the idea of putting hot sauce on popcorn some years back using Frank's Red Hot. That hot sauce is very mild (450 Scovilles) and really best suited for helping making Buffalo Wing Hot Sauce, but it went pretty well on the popcorn. My father is a bit of a hot sauce connoisseur and happened to have Cholula on hand and suggested we try it. Lo and behold, it was amazing!I am a buttery popcorn fiend, but this was nearly as good! The Cholula imbues the popcorn with some spice, but also a mock butter flavor that seems to fool everyone. To get the best result you need three things, including the Cholula.1st: Good quality, OIL-POPPED, popcorn. I use Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet Popping Corn made in a Whirley-Pop Stovetop Popcorn Popper using Canola Oil. I recommend 3.5 ounces of popcorn kernels to about 0.8 ounces of Canola Oil.2nd: Popcorn Salt. This finely pressed salt is extremely lightweight and will adhere to damn-near anything. Both my father and I use this brand: Popcorn & Nut Salt (I've had my can for over 2 years and there is plenty of it left and I like VERY salty popcorn.)3rd: This Cholula Hot Sauce — I use upwards of 4 ounces per bowl (my favorite popcorn bowl: Browne Foodservice S878 Bowl), but you can adjust to taste.DIRECTIONS: After making the popcorn in the oil popper of your choice, put it into your bowl of choice, then shake on some salt, squirt on a few ropes of Cholula, then toss the popcorn into the air (a few inches, nothing dramatic) using the bowl so as to mix it up. Then apply more salt, more Cholula, and so on. Repeat for a total of about 4 times so that nearly every kernel has a spec of red on it, and you are good to go.I switched to buying the Cholula in bulk because I was running through the in-store bottles very rapidly and it was getting expensive. One of the small bottles maybe lasts me 4 bowls of popcorn.I recommend putting the Canola Oil and the Cholula into these restaurant-style Plastic Squeeze Condiment Bottles as they make the whole process much faster and reduce clean-up.Like most hot sauces, the Cholula does NOT need to be refrigerated.
