I got a softbox light from MountDog a good while ago and it was great - it worked well, wasn't too hot, and was quick and easy (just what I needed). In need of a new backdrop stand and new lighting, I decided to try this set out - if it wasn't what I was looking for, I'd probably return it. But it's great! It's got more than adequate lighting for my needs with 4 lights, the backdrops it came with are pretty nice, though they are a bit thin. They were easy to iron, too! The stands feel pretty sturdy for indoor use - I don't really recommend using outside unless you know the weather will be pretty decent and not too windy. I was also a bit worried the cases wouldn't fit everything but they did and they're easy to carry and pack up! This was a great option for a studio set up on a budget! Definitely recommend for beginners or those just stepping into studio work. I so really love the LED softbox lights, the temperature change in the light is way more noticeable than I expected and in my case, that's a great thing!

The box lights especially are great! Everything else is good, too. Have not done but a little playing around with the greens screen and not used the other screens. Easy to set up and take down. The carrying bag, while cheap and thin, should hold up well unless using to carry the set often to outside locations. Plenty of room in it. Have used both sets of light, together and separately, and they work very well for my needs (Short videos for YouTube and my website), and for a friend of mine who uses them to do longer videos for church classes. The only thing I question is how long the stands will last. Be very careful when unfolding them and setting up and they should be fine for a very long time. If you try to force them to extend, the plastic will probably break easily.

I just used this kit recently and thought I should write a review. Looking at my purchase, it occurred one year ago. I don't have a room to dedicate to a studio so I needed something that can be broken down for storage. I've used this about 5 times now. Each time I've gotten faster at setting up and taking down. More importantly, I've gotten better at photography too. My wife is rather small so this is plenty tall for her. I can be in the photo with her if I sit on a stool. It's not tall enough for me to stand in the shot. All of this works damn fine and I have no complaints about any piece of this gear. This packs down into the large bag that comes with it. The only thing I added to this was a gray backdrop. That said, I have done shoots with the black and the white backdrops also. My wife and I agree this was well worth the money and gives us a great deal of entertainment when we get stuck inside on rainy days.

Mountdog has done it again! Sticking with this brand for future purchases! I vlog, videograph and take photos. I needed a good lighting kit and came across Mountdog. For an affordable price I got durable and dependable equipment! Everything was well packed and everything comes with its storage bags! The kit came with four lights (lightbulbs included) 2 soft boxes and two umbrellas. 4 tripods for the lights, two remotes to change soft or hard lights. The backdrop frame is strong and sturdy and really extends if you want it to! It also came with a black, green, white backdrops. All bulbs are also energy saving! Backdrop clamps are strong and durable. The kit even came with two additional sandbags. I love this kit and can’t wait for any future projects! Also if you’re new to lighting the kit comes with user friendly instructions. I recommend this kit fully. Worth the money!
