The Monocle Book of Italy

Unfortunately, the book didn’t meet my expectations. Given the positioning of Monocle as a publishing house and that the book is presented as a “grand tour of design, business, food and fashion”, I was expecting a super up-to-date take on all things Italian for Italophiles, covering all most recent developments in the “Made in Italy” space. However, despite having been published just a few months ago, the book seems already “old” due to the choice of photos and to the text, that seems to be addressing the topics covered only quite superficially, primarily rehashing well and truly known facts about the “Italian way of doing things” that are common knowledge for most people, let alone Italophiles.

Tolles Buch. Leider aufgrund der schlechten Verpackung von Amazon stark beschädigt, ich musste es zwei Mal zurückgeschicken und werde es jetzt woanders kaufen, auch wenn es dort etwas mehr kostet.

Leider wurde das Buch verschickt mit sehr vielen Beschädigungen (siehe Fotos). Sehr schlechte Erfahrung und enttäuschend, schade.

Peccato il libro sia arrivato ammaccato su bordi e alcuni spigoli. Peccato per un libro da collezione.
