They are much better for the environment! My elderly Mom finds them too hard to open but I have no problem. I've stopped buying ziplocs to reduce plastic pollution.

Most compostable and/or earth friendly reusable bags don't hold up any better than the conventional disposables. For those, "single use" means just that. These truly are reusable, they seal better and are sturdy enough that I've used a single bag for trail mix for a couple of weeks - without the bulk of a hard plastic container.

Great bags. Work well and are better for the planet.These aren't zippered bags, so closing isn't quite as easy. Still, I'd rather use these than regular ones so that I don't feel guilty every time I throw one out. We feed our dog raw, so we cut up his meat and portion it into zippered baggies. That meant we were throwing out two plastic bags a day, everyday. There was no way we could reuse them or recycle them since they stored raw meat, so this alternative is great for our environmental foot print. My fiancé said that he really liked them because they feel really nice! Aside from that, they do their job, and didn't open when I did an upside down shake test after I had filled it.As long as you don't mind the extra few seconds to close it properly, these bags are great.

These aren’t as thick as a ziplock. But are thick and sturdy enough to hold everything I want to store in them

Durable and stronger that I thought. Box came damaged but it wasn’t their fault, Amazon packaged this item with another order (a very big cleaning product bottle) which should be a No-no for obvious reasons, but the order was replaced immediately.

You cannot peel these open. Hoping later versions address this. I won’t buy again.

I really like these bags. they're a nice size, and i appreciate that they are a more ecofriendly option than most other plastic storage bags. they might be a little thinner i guess than a standard storage bag, but I feel like they do the job. I don't believe they are freezer safe? but they work great for anything you'd store in the fridge or would want to put in your lunch box.

I don't know if you are able to find anything else out there that isn't so pricey & supposed to be good for our environment. I do find that I like these very much & if you seal them correctly & smooth out excess air, it keeps your items quite fresh!
