CarharttWomen's Force Fitted Midweight Utility Legging

Lovely strong midnight fabric. Not quite jean, but more than a jegging.
I got a Size S, and it's VERY true to size, perhaps a tiny bit big in the inseam. I'm a Size 8 Australian, which is a Size 4 US, or 26.5 inch waist, and 36 inch hips, usually wearing a 26-27 jeans, depending on brand. The fabric is probably great for a mild climate, say Autumn or Spring chilly days would be fine with these. Winter perhaps. I'm not sure because I don't live in a snowy climate, but these pants are definitely thicker than Summer leggings. From the front, they look more like leggings because of the lack of zipper/false fly, but from the back and side, these pass as jeans because of the pockets, and the quality.Very comfy, and very flattering with the leg detail, lowish cut waist, and perfect sized pockets!! This was a completely random purchase, as I realised I hadn't looked at Carhartt's gear for a few years. These pants will look great with tanks, fitted t shirts, flip flops, sneakers, and boots. They absolutely pass as jeans. LOVE THEM!!!!

The perfect combo of comfort and durability!!
I have had these for a few months now and anytime I do outside work on the garden, mowing the lawn, or building projects, these are the pants I wear.PROS: the material is thick. That was the first thing I noticed when taking them out of the package. There is no chance of getting a hole in these. The pockets are a huge plus. The two front pockets are actually usable and so are the back pockets. I never worry about anything falling out of them and I will often store my pencil, screws, phone, and even my smaller measuring tape. Then you have two additional pockets on the right leg that are also great.Cons: the sizing is definitely big in my opinion. I wear a large in every pair of pants I have. In jeans I typically wear a 10-12 depending on sizing. From all the reviews I saw, people said they were small. These are a little big. I can wear them but they definitely need to be tighter I’m not docking a star though because overall I can still wear them and now that I know my right size, I’ll just get more.

These are wonderful
I do not use them to work in, but for casual dress. So comfortable. They wash great and fit perfectly. I've bought 2 colors.

Black ones not great but brown are terrific
I have 4 pair of the brown/tobacco in 2x and 2 pair of the black. The brown ones are fantastic - great fabric, good weight, excellent pockets, solid. I wear them every day for work. I got the black pairs because I loved the convenience of the pockets and the comfort of the fabric and cut for non-work wear. But the fabric of the black pairs is not the same as the brown - thinner, less stretch, stiffer, and the pockets appear to be a different shade of black. After less than 10 wearings, the back seam on both black pairs have started to both rip out and run. None of that has happened with the brown pairs that get harder use and more wearings.

Perfect for outdoor adventure
I LOVE these britches. They’re perfect for hiking, riding horses, riding 4wheelers, any sort of outdoor work or activity. I have worn them muddling 3x and gone through major mud holes and water where I expected to be freezing and feel wet. Water seemed to roll off of them well. They’re not 100% water proof of course, but a decent water resistant, durable pant. I love the pockets! There are several! I love that even in 40degree weather riding in water and mud I didn’t feel wet or cold for majority of the ride. They are a sturdy, durable material that briars and limbs didn’t seem to penetrate in any major way. When I did catch a briar, it didn’t scratch my skin; only caught the pants and then was gone. There have been no snags or holes thus far either. I’ve also shook the dry mud off and thrown them back on for a later ride and they were already dry. I love them. The one thing I am glad I read prior to purchasing is many said they were big on them. I’m a size 6 and 38 inch hips. I ordered a small. They are comfy in my waist all day long, but they can take a little tugging to get over my hips. If I had ordered a medium theyd have been way too big in the waist, as well as in the thighs and calves. Even though I ordered a small thinking they’d fit snugly like a legging, they are still a little roomier in the legs than I’d prefer. I wear socks over the ankle and up my calf and boots and I hate having to fold, tuck, twist my pants into my sock and boot. I prob could have gotten an XS for that type of fit I wanted, but might need an extra set of hands to get them over these hips. Lol I will he ordering another pair and trying out the XS soon just to see. Small is a Great fit for girls with more junk in their trunk and bigger quads and calves than I but similar waist and hip circumference!

They're good but could be better
They fit fine (XXL, 5'8 230lbs)However there are some serious improvements that could be made.1) belt loops! Omg I either spend most my days yanking these up or I can't have anything in my pockets. Which sucks because where else will I put my work keys/utility knife while I'm at work, ya know, when I need them most?2) the side cargo pocket sucks butt. It's small and flimsy. I lost my utility knife thanks to them. Luckily a coworker found it because I love that knife! The pocket is a joke.3) speaking of pockets. The side pockets are jokes. You'll be worried if your phone and wallet are going to stay in play or fall out everytime you squat down.I personally will not buy another pair until those changes are made to these pants. I wouldn't consider these work pants. I'd consider them fashion pants for the people who want to wear carhartt but not actually work in them.I will continue buying the male version of carharrt pants. Those are great work pants. These again, not so much.

Favourite work pants so far
These fit amazing and seem to really stand up to wear and tear of renovation work!I am a little curvy and these are the first pants that fit well, are comfortable, look good, and are tough enough for the trades.

Great!
I am a tall small 5’7” 130 pounds. I ordered the coffee colour and ended up getting grey lol which aren’t even an option above right now lol I like them though so I will be keeping them.

Thick without being too hot
These are great when working with hay, the fabric is thick enough that nothing pokes through or damages the fabric. Its nice to have an option other than jeans.I have a few pairs and wear these even when i dont need to work, they are comfortable and the pockets are fantastic.I was surprised to see the comments about tears at the seams, I went and checked mine and they all look like new at the seams after lots of wears and washes. Also, I'm a pretty big girl wearing the XLs and they fit well, they aren't loose on me.

Great for outdoor work
They are most likely for outdoor work or in cold places because they are quite thick but seem very durable. I’m returning it but not because of the quality or fit only because I work indoors
