Dulux 5358164 Quick Dry Eggshell Paint - Natural Slate - 750ML

Fantastic paint looks really good when applied to the doors quick drying and so easy to apply both by brush and roller but the best thing was the price which was very reasonable would buy again

This is the second tin I've ordered, the first one came packaged well in a box securely. The second one was loose in a paper bag and, as shown in pics, dented a lot. I think it's still usable so won't bother sending back, I also still have a bit left in the previous tin so will decant into that if needed.The product itself has good coverage, easy to apply and I didn't notice a smell (I was painting outside to be fair)I would order again, let's just hope it's better packaged next time (maybe it's why it was cheaper?)

Colour : Black. Gloss.Very strange reading reviews for this paint - there seem to be widely varying experiences. I bought the paint without seeing the reviews just on the spec alone. This review is my recent experience.Usage : For painting an exterior wooden door, however I was pleased to see it is also suitable for metal. Although this paint suggests no undercoat is required I already had a white undercoat but the black paint covered this very effectively on the first coat. Unlike some reviews I had no problems with the colour of the paint not being black enough – the paint I received was very black, not grey. The paint has dried to a very shiny gloss finish - although this took a long time. The paint covered well and was very opaque. A single coat would probably have sufficed but I applied a second just for good measure.The paint is advertised as “non-drip” however I would say it does drip if you are not careful. For it to be “non-drip” you’d have to load the brush quite sparingly. Drips were not such an issue for me as I was painting the door laid flat on trestles, and I liked the fluidity of the paint because it made it easier to apply. I was able to brush it on quickly and then let the paint brush strokes settle into a smooth layer.Quick drying it is not. Quoted as “touch-dry in 1 hour”, this was not my experience. Even 24 hours later the paint was still barely touch-dry. After several *days* the paint was dry enough to be handled without marking. However drying time was no issue for me, the work was under cover and I thought the longer the better in terms of hardening the paint surface. I was painting in about 12C so quite cool and this may have played some part in the slow drying time.I very much like that this is an oil based paint, not too viscous with a slow drying time. I think this combination provides a shinier, harder finish.For my purposes this was a great paint and the drawbacks were not an issue for me. Four stars because the claims for drying time did not match the description and also it was not particularly non-drip. Neither of these factors affected the finish though, which was excellent.

Low odour, lovely finish, drys in no time. Nice to be able to wash brushes in soapy water.

Might not be the ideal product for purist decorators but have used this for years over painting existing white woodwork. Quality manufacturer and gives a very satisfying pure white gloss finish. Good value. Fast delivery. Highly recommended.

I recommend this product very much. Its easy to use and the finish is good. I used it for doors with a roller so this may have affected the finish which looked more satin than gloss which was fine by me. I bought again ...;))

No me ha gustado nada, no es lo que esperaba, ni tan blanca ni brillante, además se descascarilla pronto
