The product description says for use with wood spade drill bit but i was able to use the tool to drill into an aluminum engine block so im very happy with the toughness and high quality of the tools. I would definitely buy it again. Amazing performance. And a great value for the money. The fit was exactly as described and has the appearance and weight of quality stainless steel.

Did it's job perfectly

I've read other reviews before buying this. I primarily bought it for one house project so it was the best bang for the buck. I hammer drilled 25 holes in block planters. The set screws popped on halfway through but luckily landed in the pot. I finished the job with no issues after really cranking down the set screws. I'd suggest buying a couple of 1/4 long bolts that match the threads for backup. My hammer is an adjustable chuck so no issues with that. I then switched over to my impact driver with 1/4" quick connection. But the hex shape was about 1/16" too big on all sides. I was able to drive in the concrete screws with a regular adjustable chuck drill but that was not ideal. If you're a tradesman or frequent DIYer, I'd recommend getting a different brand extension. If you're look for an extension for a one and done project to essentially scrap, these will work for you.Update: I was trying to replace the screws that backed out and flew off. Through trial-error, I found out the thread is ANSI #10-32. I got some thumb screws that I cut down to 3/16". Helps to tighten without need the allen wrench if you got clearance for it.

A 1/4 inch diameter shaft very well inside with a little room to spare. Uses standard two set screw fastening. SHAPE is nicely tapered and smoothed to prevent scratching, binding or jamming in tight spaces. Chuck end has 1/4 inch hex end with the locking indent for impact driver chucks. ALSO There are 2 Allen wrenches - one for each extension. I will be using it with various wire brushes for cleaning out rust and debris from the interiors of old metal containers.

Will return this falsely advertised product for a refund.

I bought this for a specific job but have used it many times for other projects. A good tool to have in your kit

They are affordable but the set screws used to hold the bit in the extensions are not made from hard metal. The set screws easily rounded when using an Allen key to remove them. It does the job for the price but if you have tougher set screws then replace them. Removing the set screws was a bear. Works good otherwise.

Works very well. we used it to install outside cameras and it worked well to drill the holes as well as pulling the cable through the hole.

Bought this for adding a Moxon vice to a workbench - not straight, re-checked alignment in the drill chuck but about 5mm of wobble - absolute waste of time
