Will this shoulder rest fit a standard 4/4 full-size violin? Does it stay put while you’re actually playing?

It’s made specifically for 4/4 violins and fits nearly all standard full-size bodies perfectly. The adjustable rubber feet clamp tight to the rim and won’t slip mid-play, even during fast bowing or position shifts.

How hard is this to put on? I’m a total beginner and don’t want something fussy.

Super straightforward — no tools or complicated instructions needed. Just slide the feet to match your violin’s width, hook them over the edge, and twist the knobs to tighten. Most people get it set up in 30 seconds, very beginner-friendly.

Does this fold up to fit inside a standard violin case? Or do I need a separate bag for it?

The feet fold flat against the base, so it slides right into the accessory pocket of most 4/4 violin cases. It’s slim and lightweight enough to toss in your gig bag too, no separate carrying case required at all.

How durable is the build? I’ve had cheap plastic shoulder rests crack on me after a few months.

The main frame is thick, high-strength ABS that holds up to daily use and getting tossed around in instrument bags. The adjustment screws are metal, not flimsy plastic, so they won’t strip or snap easily. Built to last for years.

Is this a good pick for a beginner student? My kid is just starting violin lessons.

It’s perfect for beginners. It’s easy to adjust, stays on securely, and helps build proper playing posture right from the start — which most violin teachers recommend. It’s affordable but far better quality than the flimsy rests in starter kits.
