Nifty design but use with caution
I got these to use in my new designated music room as a way to keep my instruments out in view and ready to play. The design is very ingenious and I like how the bracket rotates to accommodate different headstocks like asymmetrical tele or strat heads as well as more regular shaped neck/head configurations. The locks seem pretty reliable provided you don't have a band of spider monkeys (or 8 year olds) using your guitar wall for climbing practice. The brackets are well padded but this is where I think you need to be careful. After having seven different guitars hanging for two weeks the poly gloss finish of the Fender and Schecter are just fine, no evidence they haven't just been in their cases the whole time. My poly finish Larrivee acoustic also looks ok (it is very light). All three of my nitro finished Gibsons (Hummingbird, LP and 335) however reacted with the foam. I first noticed little black flecks in the finish where the brackets make contact and I could feel that the finish no longer had the smoothness that the rest of head and neck have. It's nothing I'm going to commit hari-kari over. Once I cleaned things up there is nothing visual though I can still feel the rough spots. Interestingly my mat finished Gretsch also had the same problem. The electrics are all relatively heavy at around 7-9 lbs and if only they were affected I could talk myself into thinking that the problem was mechanical but the acoustic, in spite of being a dreadnought would float away on a light breeze if you weren't holding onto it. There is no natural light in the room, the humidity is maintained at a constant 45%, the temp never goes above 72 degrees. This clearly was not a one-off since it happened with multiple guitars all at the same time over a short period. The guitars aren't swinging around in the wind or move on the bracket at all for that matter except when they are very gently lifted on and off so that leaves me believing that there is a reaction between some sort of solvent in the foam and the nitro.Once I got CPR for my heart attack it was a quick fix to take my wife's favorite undies and slice them up into some silky flaps to drop on top of the brackets and prevent contact between the headstock and the foam (she'll understand). I'll continue to use these because I like the function and I just prefer to have my guitars out where I can admire and use them rather than hidden away in their cases. If I were more entrepreneurial I would come up with a design where the bracket are upholstered with the same material that lines the inside of a guitar case (hint, hint).

Sturdy and holds the guitar well BUT….
This holds the guitar very securely but there’s a huge problem. I had my 30 yo Martin D-18 hanging on the wall for a few weeks and I just to it off the wall to play. When I did I heard a crackle noise when I lifted it off the hanger. I looked at the headstock and saw that the foam had eaten the finish away where it sits against the foam. See pics. I can’t even describe how crushed o felt when I saw my near perfect guitar with this damage. Super disappointed that they would use a foam that reacts to guitar finishes. I now use a towel between the headstock and foam but there’s nothing that can undo the damage that’s already been done.

Very nice for displays
Easy to instal, sturdy and comes with all the hardware needed for any type of wall or surface. I use them to display my daughter's bass guitars. What is especially nice is the locking device that engages with the weight of the guitar, and open when you take the weight off the device. Very clever.

Strong, flexible, and looks great
The media could not be loaded. Â Installation was very easy.Looks great. It allows for a secure grab of the guitar neck into a well padded catchment. It also allows for some swing right or left to balance the weight of the guitar.

Works well for my guitar
I mounted this straight to a wood stud in my wall. It seems very secure, even with my electric guitar that is around 10 pounds. It does automatically tilt to accommodate the shape of the head. It was easy to install and looks good.

Yes!
I purchased this to display my father's 1950s Silvertone guitar that I had just spent a mint having restored. I am pleased with the overall look and sturdiness of the item. It was easy to install and does not detract in any way from the beauty of the guitar.

Pass on this one
Maybe ok for a cheap acoustic hanger, but not sturdy at all. Cheap plastic mounting where hook twists into the mount broke right away. Lucky it wasn't my more expensive guitar.

Makes grabbing a git fiddle easy and jamming in no time
These are exactly what my axes needed! Such ease to install less than 5 minutes and very sturdy as you can see those babies are heavy and they are supported very firmly without even hitting a stud.

Sturdy and nice
good gadget, you need a drill to install it. Easy to use, quite sturdy, the guitar is quite distant from the wall, so no good behind doors wall. It looks nice.
