Off Grid Cooling and works Wonderfully
Don't normally write reviews but this Swamp cooler Deserves it. Works Awesome! I live off grid with solar power in a 1990 34' Motorhome. B4 this unit i could never walk into my rv without sweating instantly when it was hot out. Now I "Chill" anywhere in the RV and even with it reaching 84F inside my RV one of the hottest days yet it didn't feel hot and was quite Tolerable. If you don't have it setup with Auto top off and 24/7 water at the Appropriate water level it will bring in Hot air from outside and be pointless. As long as the Water is there its Quite Cool and Comfy Air while saving alot of power compared to Standard Rooftop AC's... <3 IT! Update: bought a second one for the bedroom to eliminate a small window ac of 520 watts. So glad I did, has been so comfy and saves a lot on my batteries. Recommend adding an auto temp controller

It looks good, but it's just not worth the money
It looks good, but it's just not worth the money. The idea behind it seems solid but the cooling element in it is just too small. I really don't think it would cool more than 100 ft.² To a comfortable 80° if it's 100 outside.

Works OK but requires frequent maintenance
I'm using this in a 26' toy hauler. At night it works OK for sleeping and will keep the entire trailer about six degrees cooler than than the outside temp when running on High. There is no drain on this unit and I live in an area with very hard water so the sediment buildup is bad. It requires cleaning after about a week of use. Cleaning entails getting up on the roof, removing four screws for the cover, then three bolts for the motor. After it's opened up, soak the pad in C-L-R and scrub out the inside. Then put everything back together.I mostly dry camp and being able keep cool while sleeping without running the generator is great. However the required cleaning is a big downside. The best solution would be to install another holding tank and pump then bring along a supply of reverse-osmosis purified water, however I'm not wiling to go that far.The TurboKool is OK, but if I was going to do this over again I'd instead purchase a portable floor-standing evap cooler and run the fantastic fan on low to provide the required air changes to prevent the humidity from building up.

Seems great so far.
Installation was easy with all the parts needed (had to cut 2 bolt a little sorter). The manual pictures are not very good, but how are we kidding they are just guide line references any way.Kept my 19' trailer pretty cool on a 101 deg day in utah. Should be great to have for burning man. Now I just need to find out a base line of how much water it will use in a day.

Great 12V cooler for boondocking
My RV repairman highly recommended this unit and installed it for me in and hour. I encounter a leak and contacted the vendor. They were quick and we troubleshoot and fixed that problem. I ran the unit and for a few hours and turned it off and discovered a trail of water about 6 feet on my ceiling. I contacted the company and troubleshoot it again and we decided it must be a float problem. I called the vender after receiving the float and they guided me on how to replace it which only took 15 minutes. The unit was tested for 3 hours and works as advertised.

Worthless!!!!
I purchased a used travel trailer with one of these P.O.S. Installed from the factory. I live in Northern Nevada, SUPER dry climate, “swamp coolers” usually work well here, but not this “thing”.. 😡😡The turbokool is a maintenance nightmare! DO NOT pump hard water through it! It plugs up the cooler screen area and you have to constantly clean with a mineral/ scale remover…. I’m going to rip it out of the ceiling and replace with a regular roof air conditioner..

i got a used recair cooler years ago- POSSIBLY THE BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT
it kept a 32 foot cooler 30 degrees cooler than the outside air for years, it ran directly from on 2 old 33 watt round cell Arco panels, and i believe that it had no battery in the system. later adding two used 6 volt golf cart batteries, it stored which stored enough extra electricity to run some lights and a tiny tv at night.it came on when the sun came up and went off when the sun went down. it lasted at least 10 years until my son replaced the water feed line and forgot to screw the unit down again, and the wind blew it off the roof.the guy who reported that this cooler did not cool his rv, did not know how to use an evaporative system. he was probably used to an air conditioner where the heat is removed from the air by compression, and let out of the unit from the back. i imagine he had no air flow and it got awfully humid inside.just like a house 'swamp cooler' you have to open a door or window the right amount for the air to flow through from the unit through the rooms you want to cool, to the outside, where the moist air carrying the heat away can dissipate. we had to open the window in the living area and shut the bedroom door, to cool the main part of the trailer, or open the bedroom door and shut the windows in the main area. to really cool part of the trailer, or open both a slight amount to cool the whole place reasonably.the trailer was comfortable even when the outside temp was a dry 120+. which we get a week of about every 5 years. it always kept the trailer as cool as a motel room with air conditioning would stay. the water feed ran on line pressure.
