105 or better levers -now correctly listed as being Origin8-branded
These are nice comfy levers, the hoods are nice and wide and don't bite into your hands like the old-school areo levers which are like holding onto a skinny bar with old-school unpadded bar tape. These hoods can be ridden in exclusively without even gel gloves. They have a great feel and power and have the excellent campy-type quick-release button that gives you a little extra cable slack to get your wheels off without having to undo your brakes. This is really handy on cantilevers or on dual-pivots when running larger tires where the quick-release on the caliper isn't sufficient to clear a wider tire like a 28mm or greater. My only beef, originally, with these levers was that back when I ordered them was that they were not listed correctly. The levers WERE listed as Tektro R200's here on Amazon but what you get are Origin8 Pro-Force Aero levers. These are basically the same thing as the Tektro's but rebranded by Origin8. The only real difference besides the box is the little 8 logo on the lever instead of it saying Tektro. The box plainly says that they are Origin8 Pro-Force.But I see, after complaining to Amazon, that they have updated the listing for these to label these as Origin8-branded levers instead of merely Tektro R200'sIt isn't THAT big of a deal but if you are wanting the Tektro logo to match some tektro calipers or canti's you might be disappointed by the Origin8 logo instead. That's the only real difference. Now that they have fixed this I will bump up my review from 4 to 5 stars. This is a great set of aero levers. I don't think you will be disappointed. I like to know EXACTLY what I'm getting when I'm buying something online.

Does the job- A little bulkier than I'm used to
I bought these to replace my old Shimano levers because I couldn't find replacement hoods. My old hoods were the consistancy of "silly putty". I read some good reviews on these so bought them. They are plastic bodies, so they are more bulky to compensate for them not being metal. They are pretty good quality, and work well. They are pretty "fat" in my hands and it will take a while to get used to that. Overall, they seem to be pretty good. I've pulled pretty hard on them on hills and no breakage. Actually, the connecting brackets appear to be a little higher quality than my Shimanos. They do look a heck of a lot better than my "silly putty" hoods and now I feel like I'm riding a new bike! (yeah, right....) If you need new hoods or levers, these will work- but be prepared for the fatness....

Works great, until the little metal pin falls out
WHAT I LIKE:- Great cheap replacement for the crappy levers that come with a lot of online-ordered bikes.- The lever action is very smooth, and the size is a little bigger than most levers, giving me more control.- The material of the lever feels solid, does not feel like plastic.WHAT I DISLIKE:- There is a little metal pin that normally prevents the lever from springing forward all the way. However, that pin can easily be pushed or knocked out unintentionally while riding, making it hard to reach for the lever. Origin8 doesn't seem to sell replacement pins, so I had to use a nut and bolt as a replacement. My local bike shop told me it was designed that way to act as a quick release for brake calipers that didn't have a built in quick-release. However, for me it's just another easy way for the lever to break.

Initial impressions
Minimal slop in the throwThe adjustable throw is a very neat feature. I hope the pin stays put and never comes out as some other reviewers mention. At each of the two settings there is a nice indent.I like the offset pull. It should help the riders with smaller hands.Hoods feel like soft rubber. I think they'll last nice as long as you fon't abuse them. They are very thick.

Good but not great
These levers function well but I find myself wishing I had spent just a little more for the cane creek (SCR-5) ones - as the hoods on those levers seem a little nicer and fit my hands a little better. This said, nothing wrong with them functional, are easy to use, have a button to release tension for brake adjustments/tire replacements. So, overall, I am happy enough with them that I will keep using them.

Great for an older bike
I got these for my 1987 Cannondale SR400 road bike, which had very old-style, small brake levers and hoods. They were from a day when "on the hoods" was not a viable riding position for the riders hands.Fast forward to today - all my bike needed was these Origin8 brake levers, along with their wider, longer, and well-padded hoods. The installation was straight-forward with only basic hand-tools.The result is very good. I can comfortably ride on the hoods now, and the levers feel and operate very nicely. These parts have a high-end feel to them that belies the fairly low price. (I'm not a weight-fanatic, so I don't know, nor care, what they weigh.)

work perfectly
These are inexpensive and they function flawlessly. They are very comfortable for riding the hoods. The lever is shaped so it is comfortable to brake while riding the hoods or when hands are lowered while posting. Easy to grab with forefinger while in the low position as well. I have had them for over two years now and they are still functioning as they did brand new. The hood covering is thick and very durable. No signs of wear that I can see from every day commuter use and a few long distance bicycle camping trips on a fully loaded bike. The lever ratio is also perfect for my cantilever brakes. Wonderful product.

Cheap- Wide-Plastic body
Disappointed that the body of the lever is plastic. Like the wider top of the hood - should absorb shock better on gravel roads. Shipping and packaging were fine.

Exactly as expected
The levers seem to be good quality for the price, and I would recommend these to anyone looking to update levers on older road bikes. I like that the hoods are far wider than the stock ones that my 80's roadbike came with; they don't cut into your hands and it is far more comfortable to ride the hoods.
