My Mom Is a Foreigner, But Not to Me

I came across this book while looking for something else. My daughter began reading it and we both loved it. It's a simple and sweet message about all the different nationalities of mommies children may have, how they may see things differently and some of the great things they have learned. My mother wasn't a foreigner, but she is a Cherokee and so I related to many parts of the story. I think any child will enjoy the story but for those whose families are from other nationalities, it's even better.

Lovely book for a friend whose from another country and she felt it was so special to share with her children!

Great read for children and I think more parents should buy books and explain to their children the different races, cultures, and family dynamics.

The book was ok, it was a light hearted look about diffrent family cultural differences.

I think this would be a good read for any child, but I found it interesting as well. Nice read.

I bought this book for my grandson after seeing an interview by the author. Instead of celebrating my daughter-in-law's rich heritage and the cool and interesting attributes she brings to our family, the book was a little insulting and led a child to think their mom was weird. We're returning it. My sincere apologies to my daughter-in-law.

Being a foreigner in the country where my kids are born and go to school, I find this book very good to read for them.
