Review: Works but mounting can be challenging for doors with molding or other finish - The sensor and the web-based alerting service seem to work fine. However, in order to function properly the two parts of the sensor (active and passive) must be very close together when the door is closed. If they door has any kind of molding or other finish around it, you may have difficulty mounting the sensor so that the two parts get close enough to give an indication when the door is closed. This is unfortunately the case for me, so I ended up with two sensors that I can’t practically use. But if you have doors that close flush with the adjacent wall, these should work. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Allowed use of existing normally open door switches *by H***L on December 29, 2018* This allowed me to connect with existing normally open magnetic switches installed in the house as part of a older alarm system. The switches are buried in woodwork so I wanted to take advantage of them. Simple connection in series and the system works perfectly.
