Change your oil through the dipstick tube and pump most any other fluid! For all types of motors, watercraft and vehicles. Use a TRAC fluid extractor for oil changes and the removal of fuel, coolant and transmission fluid. Use it to pump out bilge water and trapped fluids. Perfect for any situation where draining is difficult. Self-priming pumps create a powerful vacuum to remove almost any non-corrosive liquid. It’s an easier, cleaner way to drain engines with hard-to-reach drain plugs.

Works Great... But Slow
Needs a bigger intake tube. But, with patience, it does a great job draining the oil from the Yanmar 1GM10 diesel on my sailboat.

Works as expected...for a whole lot less
I use the pump for changing the oil in my boat, yes it takes a while to pump it all out, yes it takes some monitoring and pumping from time to time, but for the price and the work that has to be done this thing is great. I have a 4.3L inboard engine and it gets it cleared out while I am doing other maintenance, easy to clean. Only reason I dont give it five stars is because it does not have any marking to measure how much fluid is in the container, otherwise its great for the money.

Takes time
Unit was easy to use. You must pump it up and leave it to do it’s thing. I had to pump it up several times to remove 4 quarts of oil. It is a slow draw so be patient.

They do not work as shipped
I ordered this fluid extractor, and it came with a pump that didn't work, I sent it back and ordered another one, that one also came with a pump that didn't work. Please send me a working pump, and i will return the pump form this one. I modified the tank so I could use it with a different pump.

Good idea, poor design.
Purchased to remove oils from motorcycle. Worked fine the first day to remove the engine oil. The second day it wouldn't create suction when removing the transmission oil. Found out the plastic had cracked at the bottom of the pump where it attaches to the white tank. Both times oils were room temperature (approx 85 degrees) Cheap plastic.

Nice pump for small engine servicing
This is a very nice little pump. It is perfect for removing the oil from small engines and can even remove oil gas from tanks. A couple pumps establishes the pressure, then you can step back while it fills the bottle. My boat stays in the boat lift so this makes it easy to change the oil without having to go to great pains to drain and catch the old oil. It siphons really well. Seems durable. Good design, thanks!

Very happy, never want to be without it
This item worked perfectly. I pre-heated the transmission to just above room temp, probably about 95-100 deg, I used the large tube and emptied the pan of 4 qts in less than 5 min. Sides do suck in a little bit as would be expected since you are drawing a vacuum, but funtion was flawless.

This engine oil extractor is a disaster
This engine oil extractor is a disaster. First, the pump does not have power to suck the oil. Possibly air is leaking from somewhere. Second, in the booklet, it is mentioned that there are two tubes provided in the package, one black and one clear. Both tubes were black. Three, the black tube snapped in my engine after getting into the hot oil and left me with $500 mechanic cost to open the oil pan and remove the broken pipe.

good value and effective
I looked high and low for something like this at the national auto parts store. All they had were smaller brass ones for boat motors. This one came highly recommended and the price is right. The shipping was extremely fast and well packed.I used this to change the oil in my MB extracting the oil through the dipstick. It worked without any problems. You do have to do a lot of pumping with the handle but it is not hard, just time consuming. It took me about 30 - 40 minutes to extract 8 liters trough the dipstick.I also had the oil warm, but maybe it was too warm. The vacuum in the plastic container and warm oil caused the walls to collapse inwards a bit, but it didn't affect the extraction or my oil change. It was easy and it was clean. It was easy to empty the container into a bigger container to take to te Eco center for disposal.I am going to change my oil in more cars more often with this.

does the exact same thing that extractors that cost twice ...
does the exact same thing that extractors that cost twice the price does. I frankly don't understand how some of the competitors can justify hundreds of dollars for nothing more a cheap pump, plastic hose and a plastic container. There is only a few dollars in materials in it all. I know supply and demand plays a role but asking anything more than what Trac charges for this one is simply a rip off

Works great
Use for oil changes on my direct drive inboard boat. Works awesome and much easier and cleaner than the way I used to do it. Since I have it now, I have found multiple uses for it around the shop. Small enough to easily store on a cabinet.

Okay
This fluid pump works alright, but it started to cave in on me from the pressure. I must have over pumped more then I needed, but just seemed cheap to me, to cave in so easily. Also the oil was spraying on me from the hand pump near the handle. It did the job, but pretty messy and I would prefer a thicker plastic on the vacuum container.
