Volts USB-A to Lightning Cable Cord, MFi Certified Charger Compatible with iPhone, iPad, Rigorously Tested for Long Lifespan (Space Gray 10 Feet)

Our family seems to go through lightning cables fairly quickly - partly because my teenage daughter doesn't always handle them with delicate care, and partly because we have so many idevices that we like to keep topped up at home and in the car. This cable is a good value because of the following features:Strong braided plastic sheath - this thing is never going to kink, but it may give some resistance to bending through tight corners (which you shouldn't be doing anyway!)Excellent port contact at both ends - I've had a number of other cables where either the lightning port end had a huge housing (and couldn't fit through the opening in an iPhone or ipad case, or the USB end didn't mate with a USB socket well - this one has excellent positive contact without being "sticky"Apple Certified - this really matters. None of our volts cables have ever thrown a "This accessory may not be supported" message on any of our idevices. Many other supposedly apple certified cables have given us these messages intermittently, which is a pain when you really want a charge.Sleek look - I know this is fairly unimportant, but if you like your car to look nice, attractive cabling is one of those tiny details that adds to the overall look (unattractive cables make the car look messier).

UPDATE: I had to change my vote to 3 stars because the cord has stopped working out of nowhere, unfortunately. Whenever I try to plug it in, I get an error message and it no longer charges ANY of my devices. I was worried that it was because I had to restart my phone, but as I said, the cord didn't work for any of my Apple devices. It's a sturdy cord but the bit that plugs into the device came loose somehow.I've had this cable for a little over a month now and it's been amazing! I'm usually super suspicious of these cables because Apple can be really particular and it's easy to get scammed on here, but I am pleasantly surprised in this case. The cable is thick so it can be a little unwieldy sometimes but that doesn't take away from it at all. It's the perfect length to keep my phone charged while I'm in bed or on the couch, I can always have my phone well within reach. There's been a little bit of fraying near the head of the cable, nothing crazy like the standard Apple cords can get, but a little. I'm not sure if it's that I'm being particularly rough with my handling or what, but I'm honestly not too worried about it. The cable works beautifully.

The first cable I ordered was defective (worked only for a few days). HOWEVER - the customer service rep was amazing! They sent me a new cable immediately, and, since they were releasing an updated cable design - they sent me one of those cables as well. So I now have a fully golden cable and the updated cable where the aluminum housings are gold, but the cable itself is gray covered in translucent plastic/braiding. They both have been working great so far as far as charging.And, I have to say, the updated cable feels much more durable (and a little stiffer) than the previous cable design. It . Also, the lightning port part that goes into the phone is thinner on this - so it fits in my case (only a concern if you have a narrow opening in your iPhone case). And I love the new design, it's very elegant.I would definitely buy another cable from them - for the great cable quality and the great customer service that they offer.

Just received the cable this afternoon. A great 1st impression of the quality of the cable. The one thing that I'm at issue with is the description starts out with "Volts 4ft Black Lightning Cable" it's really just a 1-meter cable like all the rest. VERY MISLEADING. Yes, I understand that the extended version of the description says 3.3ft/1 meter but, really? Why would you bother to say "4ft" in the very 1st part of the description? I wanted the extra 9 inches (insert joke here). Looks dope though. I'll probably buy a 2-meter cable to get the extra length.

The regular lightning cable that comes with the iphones are waaaay too short for anything other then like syncing to itunes or using with a portable battery youre carrying in your pocket. So i immediately buy new longer cables, but all the cables stop working because they get worn out from being bent right by the lightning connector, so i have to buy super heavy duty ones. So far this is the one that has lasted the longest currently and i havent had any problems. The little aluminum piece that holds the lightning connector is a little big for a lot of cases, but that doesnt really bother me as long as it fits in some cases and it doesnt stop working. So far its a win.

Bought the older version of this cable and had lots of issues with it. However, the customer service was impeccable and they sent me a new cable everytime! After 2 exchanges, I decided to just return for a refund because each one they sent didn't work for me. They quickly processed my refund and then offered to send me their new version for free. I accepted and I'm glad I did, because it works perfectly! I love the sturdiness of the cable as well.

Got this for travel when hotel outlets are a problem. 10 foot is prefect, and it wraps up so easily.
