This bear was the perfect addition to a bear themed christening present that was gratefully received!

I won’t lie and pretend that this was meant for a child; I, as an 18 year old, decided to befriend this little bear. Right off the bat, he was a little smaller than I expected, but don’t worry - he’ll fit perfectly into a child’s arms, which, of course, is the target audience. He has beautifully soft fur, beans in his front paws and bottom, and an adorable knitted scarf. Compared to other teddy bears, his expression is... unconventional. To me, the eye whites, raised eyebrows and wide smile makes him look a little worried, but he’s definitely sweet. He’s destined to remain seated, but he’s soft enough to be cuddled and played with. The colours are a little off compared to the photos, though maybe it’s just my screen; either way, he has a more orangey snout and a more greyish nose and mouth. I will say this though - I don’t think he really captures the same bear as the story book. Perhaps he’s a distant cousin? Comparing him to the tag (aka the “We’re Going On A Bear Hunt”’s bear illustration) is a little confusing - I barely recognised him. If you want a story-accurate plush, I’m not sure this is the best option out of the Rainbow Designs collection. Overall, would I recommend him? If I had to pay myself, I would probably spend my £19.99 elsewhere (at least that’s the price at time of review). He’s lovely quality and extremely well made, don’t get me wrong, but he feels a little bit like an imposter compared to the storybook illustration, so if you don’t mind that, absolutely get one!
