Queen's Garden

Watched this on PBS a couple of times and decided I have to have a copy to watch anytime. Very enjoyable.

I got this on iTunes as well as a DVD for my mother because I love it so much. Gorgeous cinematography. Wonderful documentary on this magical garden.

It's an exceptional garden maintained with the full resources of the British state. A national treasure integral to the history of the monarchy.

ENTERTAINMENT

I think "garden"is "English" for the American "back yard", in this case you get to see what would normally be a limited access Park behind Buckingham Palace. Filmed over a years time it spends more time with the nature side of things than the "history" although it has a good serving of that too. The Royal family is represented mostly by The Queen and Prince William but you see some of the others too.The DVD starts and finishes with a "Garden Party" that a large number of everyday Britons are invited to, you'll see more of it than they do I'm sure…and probably more than tourists can get access to when the Palace is open for tours.My DVD is as clear as the broadcast (one reviewer complained about image quality).Worth owning if you have any interest in Royalty/Nature.

Very nice. I bought an extra one for my son for Christmas. I'm British so I enjoyed seeing the beautiful garden behind the walls of Buckingham Palace which I had no idea was there until now. Very interesting and colorful.

This is a lovely DVD of the Queen's Garden. I recommend this DVD to anyone who not only a lover of gardens but of history.

Excellent video, gave for a gift to my mom, she loved it

I got this for mother she loved the picture on front and thought it would be full of lush greenery but it was old photography from 1977.She is not saying its bad but just not what she expected..

I have visited London a fair amount, I am a certified Master Garden and a Arborist so my expectations were quite high. As you can see from the 5 stars rating I was very happy. The reason I ordered the item from Amazon U K was that I had read that the video for the U K had two discs in it. I thought that it had more info. Regards, Michael Dull

Old program from 1970s. It should have been stated clearly that this is an old program and not the new one that you have heard people talking. Total mistake to order the product. Colors poor, voice poor. Did not give anything.

I saw this program on PBS and loved it so much, that is the reason I ordered this DVD- for my daughter, who does not live in this state so she did not get to see the program.
