The sticker doesn’t stick as good as it needs
I like this product just that the sticker is not that sticky it held up like 2 days but after all the pulling down it ended up falling. I just got some nails and nailed it into my wall and it works perfectly. And it gives the room a lot of light with the blinds closed!

Excellent product for a great price
I was suspicious of the product because the price was a bit too cheap, compared to others or hire someone from 3-Day Blinds to measure and build. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy this product was. Just need a sharp kitchen knife...the sharper the easier the job. Also cut slight more 1/8" on each side as the window frames often times are not evenly formed. I have read a few complaints about the adhesives. I have six installed in no time and found no problems. Most likely the surface of the window frame was not clean. Just a suggestion to those who complained about the adhesive not being strong enough, just buy a few strips of 3-m double-sided tapes (the kind you use for hooks on the wall) and you will have no problems. The shades look great! A perfect quick solution to cover up the windows in your vacation home.

Waste of money
This is really bad product. Although it is really to install, adhesion is very poor, and it is not straight. I am extremely disappointed. Do not buy, Waste of your money. Amazon should no sell such poor quality products.

Easy install, good quality, decent temp control, USE 3M VHB 2-SIDED TAPE
Quality is good for the price. Note that this is the CELLULAR version which means the shade design includs cells or pockets, which seem to filter more light while also helping with temperature control and blocking more heat from entering the home. (The same company also sells a PLEATED version which appears to not offer the same function of filtering light/heat.) The pull-down/lift-up function works great, no pins or clips required. If the shade position ever becomes uneven, simply raise the shade back to the up position and then pull back down to "reset" it, as the instructions indicate.Cutting down the shade to fit the width of your window is no problem. As the instructions state, measure your window WIDTH three times (top, middle, and bottom), and use the narrowest measurement when you use the included cutting guide to cut down the shade on each side (left and right, using your width measurement as your cutting point on each side). MEASURE MULTIPLE TIMES to be certain you have the right measurement. Then firmly secure the shade to the floor, apply the plastic cutting guide (included), place the slit over the exact position indicating your window width (for instance, "42 3/4") and then use a short, sharp, smooth blade kitchen knife to saw/rock back and forth until you cut all the way through. Repeat this on the other side of the shade, at the same measurement marker on the ruler. Once you've cut down your shade to the appropriate width, hold it up inside your window frame (top, middle, and bottom) to make sure it's not too wide. (It's going to be easier to cut it down further now than after you've installed it!) Then pop in the bar-ends (included) into the cut ends to finish the base of the shade.Adhesive: THERE IS A GOOD SOLUTION to the many problems others have mentioned in the reviews for this product.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME RISKING TO INSTALL this shade using the pre-installed adhesive tape. Instead, I STRONGLY recommend searching Amazon for a 3M "VHB" 2-sided tape (usually back tape with red backing), preferably 1" width, and at least as long as the length of the shade. This should cost you about $9 or so. Order the tape at the same time as you order the shade, and don't attempt to install the shade until you have the 3M VHB heavy duty 2-sided tape (NOT SQUARES). Trust me on this from experience. Now, assuming you've purchased a roll of high quality (3M VHB heavy duty) 2-sided tape, and you've cut your shade down to side: REMOVE the backing from the adhesive tape that came pre-installed on the shade so the sticky tape is exposed. Now, unroll your 3M VHB 2-sided tape and CAREFULLY extend the tape from one edge of the shade to the other, applying it DIRECTLY onto the factory-adhesive tape, and firmly press along the whole way to make sure it's firmly attached with minimal air bubbles. (To make it even more secure, you can now blow a warm hair dryer directly onto the tape to heat up the adhesive, just for 15 seconds or so, and then press it down again firmly.) IMPORTANT: DO NOT REMOVE THE 3M VHB tape backing yet, and DO NOT install yet. Let the shade sit for 12-24 hours so the adhesive forms a super strong bond. It's better to take your time on this and ensure that it holds than regret it later! After you've let it sit for a considerable amount of time, clean the window frame / area of any dust, dirt, etc. (use alcohol if necessary), especially the area where you'll be attaching this shade, and let it THOROUGHLY dry. Finally, remove the 3M VHB 2-sided tape backing from the entire shade. (Optional: you can now use that same hair dryer technique once again, this time on the exposed adhesive, to warm it up and increase its ability to bond.) Now, very carefully press the shade in EXACTLY the position you measured from. HOLD IT IN PLACE for as long as possible, periodically shifting your hands (left and middle, middle and right, etc) so you're evenly distributing pressure, holding the shade and its adhesive against the surface to form a super-strong bond. Periodically shifting your hands, and pressing as firmly as possible, for as long as 5-10 minutes (or more!) will greatly enhance the bond, and decrease the likelihood that your shade will ever fall down unexpectedly.Good luck!

Product Arrived Damage
The product is plastic and arrived damaged upon delivery. The top plastic part that sticks to the window frame was cracked. The sticky strip didn’t last during the summer heat, so we nailed it to the wood frame. Seems to last. It does the job we need it to.

Superb, once the hassle of cutting is done
This is great!I've only had it for a few weeks and I don't move it very much, so I can't speak to the adhesion's durability, but it looks good, moves very smoothly, and lets in a nice quality of light. The process of cutting it to size leaves a bit to be desired though!- For one, I don't really understand the need to use their built-in rulers and cut each half. The shade arrived x inches long, and my window is x-6 inches wide, so I cut 6 inches off one end - success!- Part of the reason I made one cut is that cutting this was NOT easy. It all worked out, but the sliding plastic piece moves very easily, and at least with the knife I was using (a decently sharp folding knife) it took quite a bit of effort and time sawing through. Other reviewers seemed to have success with a serrated blade, which I could see working better (if I ever do another of these I think I'd try that). The half I cut is a bit frayed, which could probably be cleaned up, but the way I have it installed it's not visible so whatever. As long as the adhesive holds up well, I would definitely buy another one in the future. A+!

Quality has changed - very poor adhesion
I bought these shades 2-3 years ago for my house and loved them - had them in every window for over a year with no problems. I ordered them several months ago for my new house and have had problems with all 5 of them. They are coming loose from the window frame and on several the shade is starting to separate from the adhesive strip. Three of these windows are in a guest room with very little use and they are still coming off the windows. I am very disappointed - the quality of this product definitely seems to have changed.

Luxury w/o the cost
These blinds are great. They are great looking and are similar to high cost ones. Quick to install as well. So glad I purchased.

Me gustan.

Simple solution
This was my first time using an adhesive window blind, and I wasn't sure how well it would stay put. The instructions were clear on how to cut to fit (cut some off both ends). I used a small hacksaw, and this was super simple. After removing the protective strip to expose the adhesive, I pressed the blind into the top of the window frame. So far, no complaints! Still holding after several months. This was an inexpensive and very nice look to disguise a basement window which opens into an ugly window well - and yet still allows in some daylight. Would definitely recommend.

Bad adhesion
Two sided tape is not holding on one blind and almost impossible to remove on the other, may need replacing even tho I cut them.

Don't waste your time and money
If you enjoy spending three hours straight sawing through these with a kitchen knife, then these are perfect for you! I ended up resorting to chipping away at it with scissors, which still took about an hour, and left me with pieces of plastic, fabric, and styrofoam everywhere. If you have a power saw then it might be worthwhile, but I'm pretty sure you can buy and trim regular blinds and shades too. This was advertised as an easy DIY solution for people without the appropriate tools, but its really not. and it's a really dumb way to ruin a kitchen knife. When I finally got them to look semi-decent, I hung them up only to discover they were more transparent than opaque and about 2 inches shorter than advertised which was ultimately too short for my window. So now I still have light coming through my window, a huge mess, and I'm $70 out.

Adhesive quality seems inconsistent
I want to love these blinds - they look great - I’ve used the same ones elsewhere with no issues. I bought two for matching brand new windows. On one the adhesive is holding great, the other not at all. The quality just isn’t what I’ve come to expect from this product and I expect better for the price. I’ve tried contacting customer service but have yet to get a response....it’s very disappointing.
