Expensive? Abolutely. The best mouse I have ever used? Double absolutely.
After spending over 100 dollars on two different gaming mice of reputable brands (Razor and Logitech) and having both of them break within months, I had a 'straw that broke the camel's back' type of situation and splurged on this masterpiece. Why keep spending money on new mice every couple of months when you can just get the best of the best? Thus far I have had exactly zero issues with it. The customizability, both physical and software, is mind-blowing. Within a half hour I had tuned this thing exactly to my preferences. The ceramic feet glide effortless across my mousepad, and seem to be scratch resistant - which means the quality of the glide never degrades. The sensor of the mouse is unmatched. The sniper button, which is nicely placed right where the thumb rests, is a fantastic feature for FPS gaming. The mouse has onboard profiles, so you can save settings directly to it and take it with you for use on another computer. Speaking of that, it comes with a really nice carry-case, a tool for adjusting the resistance of the mouse wheel (yeah, you can do that, and it's awesome) and a nice little brush for brushing away dead skin and other debris from the mouse - a very nice touch indicative of a high quality product.I decided to use the extra pinky rest piece it came with, which allows your pinky to rest on a little platform on the right side of the mouse, avoiding that annoying feeling you get from your pinky dragging on the mousepad. Another awesome touch that I didn't know I needed.Overall, I am very impressed with this mouse and have absolutely zero buyers remorse, provided it lasts me a good long time.Update (May 2024) below:My original unit unfortunately broke within a couple of months - the mouse wheel came right off. However, I reached out to customer service with pictures and videos of the mouse explaining what had happened and they replaced it, no questions asked, free of charge. I have now used the new unit for much longer than the original and it has not failed in any way - I am guessing I just got unlucky with the first one.I am still insanely impressed by this mouse. The customization and feature set seriously makes it the only mouse on the market that is 'right' for me and I can never go back.

Great mouse!
I had a Rat 3+ that no matter what, I always found myself returning to, even after breaking and super gluing it back together numerous times. This mouse is great! For whatever reason, my wrist does not hurt when using this mouse or while using the previous 3+. Maybe it is due to the thumb and pinky finger being a little more relaxed while using it? The option to change the weight of the mouse is pretty cool. I ended up taking out one of the weights and found that perfect. Last, the response time and accuracy of the mouse is superb! If you are shopping around, I'd say look no further. You will not be disappointed!

Wow so far!
So far, its functional and you can adjust to you comfort level via they give you a tiny screw at the back of the butt part of the mouse and after your finished with it you screw it back in the mouse. Folks in review said about left mouse click issue, so-so far I haven't experienced that yet. It's not extremely glossy feel, it's kind of more matte and little gloss feel. The driver is not the best, but the button mapping is nice. Only minor issue for me so far is that when In-Game for example I was playing the upcoming Valve game Deadlock where I tried to key-bind but somehow it would not detect my mouse5 click. But it works outside game. So, I figured it might be that I had to map it in driver app like a gamepad and it worked. So, in general, just button map in the App instead of key-bind in game IF you have this! If you got the driver app make sure you calibrate you mouse surface, it's called LIFE OFF SURFACE inside and my aim is woooh! smooth as butter. This is the ultimate cheat mouse :D. I HIGHLY recommend you purchase this mouse. These are the folks that made GameShark Cheat Cartridge since the Nintendo 64.

A welcome return hampered by cost cutting
I used to own a RAT 5, and after loving it dearly jumped to a RAT 7 for an even better experience. When I saw the RAT line had returned in earnest, I bought the one to suit my needs.Pros:- Nice fit and decent weight, the metal bottom does wonders on a pad- High DPI on a good sensor, less lift required to reset your positioning on a pad- Uses replaceable AA batteries so you don't have to worry about a rechargeable battery depreciation ending your time with this before anything else goesCons:- Cheap feeling plastic, which shouldn't be a thing on a $100+ price range- Less customizable than the last time, granted still better than most wireless mice out there, but the wireless option doesn't even have weight customization-Lackluster DPI switching, you can change it on the fly, but there isn't any increment/decrement option, just a one way cycling- No port for wired connection, not the biggest thing in the world, but if you run out of juice mid-match without a replacement battery you're SOL- Doesn't convince you it deserves the price tagGeared for FPS players, the high DPI and "sniper button" will give you the tools necessary to improve your gaming. The swappable side plates are great if you run a palm or claw style, and the expanding/retracting palm rest will ensure that your hand is never too big/small for it.However, if you're looking for the be all end all perfect mouse of yesteryear, this isn't it. If you're an MMO, RPG, or RTS player this mouse will almost feel like a handicap with its lack of buttons. It's a fine mouse, but after using it for some time I had to ask myself "why did I pay over $100 for this mouse?" To which there is simply no good answer.Sharp and unique looks, hampered by the cost cutting of a freshly resurrected company makes for an OK mouse that you're better off waiting for a sale before buying.

Having no custom weights
I've always been a fan of this brand of gaming mice, fully modular Gaming mouse.. the only downside is.... you can't change the weight like the USB models, such a shame 😔...other than that the16k DPI is more than enough.... So sensitive that I only have it on level 2 and there are 5 levels...I just wish they can make a variation with adjustable weights and BT/Wireless

Best mouse I've ever used
I spend a lot of (too much) time on my PC, both for work and gaming - this is a highly adjustable, comfortable mouse that works for all applications.Strongly recommend checking it out - I have an older version, that I used for years before upgrading to this one. Great product!

This is my second one purchased!
All I can say is that I grabbed a second one just in case this amazing mouse gets discontinued. Let me put it this way; I am very, very picky at choosing stuff, and in 20 years I could not find a mouse that I like 100%!I came across this one first at Canada Computers location in Mississauga. Curiously I tried to order another one from them, but they were unable and unwilling. So I ended up on good old Amazon that never lets you down. Then brick and mortar retailers wonder why they are loosing business. Anyways, got another one for back up. I absolutely love this stunning looking, gaming mouse that works on PC and Mac. Looks like a Ferrari - Transformer bot! Just love it.Oh, it has parts you can swap out for different looks! 3 Counterweights included! Use it light with none installed, or heavy with all 3, as for your preference.

1 month in no issues
Best thing about this mouse is the right side attachment so that your pinky finger isn't getting constantly ran overFrom an aesthetic standpoint, it is possibly the best looking mouse ever mass producedLots of cool buttons on it that I'm sure could be usefulOverall very well designed. The reviews here turned me off but I pulled the trigger anyways and I'm glad I did
