fter trying what felt like countless laundry detergents over the years, I finally found one that checks all the boxes for me. I wanted something that cleans well without being overloaded with fragrances or harsh chemicals, and this detergent has been exactly that. I've been using it for several years now and absolutely love it. It leaves my clothes fresh and clean without the overwhelming perfume scent that so many detergents have these days. I like my clothes to smell clean, not like a bottle of fragrance, and this detergent does exactly that. Another reason I keep buying it is that I appreciate the simpler, cleaner ingredients compared to many conventional detergents. It doesn't irritate our skin, it works well, and I feel good about using it for my family. In fact, I like it so much that I bought some for my son, and he's become a fan as well. The clothes come out clean, soft, and fresh every time. No heavy perfumes, no lingering chemical smell—just clean laundry. It's one of those products that, once you find it, you don't want to switch to anything else. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an effective detergent that cleans beautifully without overwhelming scents.

I have used other plant-based laundry detergents in the past, but Seventh Generation definitely surpasses them. It is ultra concentrated, so a small bottle lasts a very long time. It is good for sensitive skin and gets the clothes very clean. It leaves behind no heavy perfumes. Though a small bottle may seem like more costly than other brands, you are not paying for water and a small bottle like this will last at least 3 months if not more. I highly recommend it for those who are environmentally conscious.

Nice fresh smell, smaller plastic bottle, value for money, safer than normal detergents. Did try the washer sheets that arrive in a cardboard package but made in China so lose on the Eco savings. Happy with this brand.

I wanted a laundry detergent without a strong scent, and this Free & Clear formula has worked well for keeping my clothes fresh without leaving behind an overpowering fragrance. The EasyDose bottle is the feature I appreciate most. Concentrated detergent can be easy to overpour, but this design makes it much simpler to dispense a consistent amount without creating a mess around the cap. Since only a small amount is needed, the compact bottle also takes up less space in my laundry area. I have used it on everyday clothes, towels, and bedding, and everything comes out feeling clean without a noticeable perfume smell. It is especially useful when I do not want my detergent competing with other scented products. The smaller bottle is also much easier for me to lift and handle than a large traditional detergent container. Even though it looks compact, the concentrated formula lasts through more loads than I initially expected. The easy squeeze bottle is awesome and fun to use! Love that it lasts forever and the bottle doesn’t take up so much room. Smells amazing too.

Definitely good value! The smell is perfect not overpowering. I love the small size and the way it measures for you. Read the directions and you will have no problems! I also like the fact that it is a safer soap with less junk in it. 1 squirt does a normal load and if you have a big load or very dirty load 2 squirts.

The laundry detergent really gets my clothes clean. The wash water is so dirty. It seems to rinse out well enough, I’ll use vinegar in my first rinse water to break down the suds a little. I don’t like the bottle cap. It was defective or not as promoted. About 3x the amount of soap came out. I have replaced it with a cap from a water bottle.

WELL, it was Worth the Wait! They appear to have redesigned the measured pour cap SPLENDIDLY! I use this detergent to wash doggie diapers. It is gentle and removes odors. Put it on subscription !

Not Worth the price.

Reading other reviews I was skeptical about the container itself, but with a little common sense you can figure it out. Yes it dribbles when you tip the bottle but when you squeeze immediately it allows the dose to come out and voila, quickly turn back right side up to avoid waste... As for potency, if you have a HE washer, it works great. If I'm doing a deep fill large load, yeah I'll use 2-3 squeezes. I've previously used the regular seventh generation laundry detergent and I'd probably go with the non-concentrated version next time. The smell is gentle, I didn't find it artificial at all, and I've got a sensitivity to strong scents.

One bottle received. Usually the so called Lavender scents of many products are not even close to Mother Nature's fragrances. As a matter of fact they are often too strong and chemical smelling. Seventh Generation has found a natural scent for their Lavender laundry soap with no chemically smell at all. Some of us are pretty sensitive to it so we are limited in its' use. ( no stars taken off for this ) It does get clothing, bedding, dish cloths and towels quite clean; as clean as most harsher products available. So far we haven't seen any fabric 'wearing' or changes that usually happen with every wash. With the convenient tip and 1 squeeze per load it would be easy to get the 66 loads it says it can handle. Our problem with this is that we often do small loads and squeezing the bottle to expel a lesser amount is pretty awkward and can get messy. We've had to squeeze the full 1-squeeze-amount into a container and portion it out that way. Although it is a minimal inconvenience, it takes away a bit from the original purpose of just 1 squeeze per load. It does however give us a few more loads from the bottle so it balances out in the long run. For us, it weren't for the scent this would be close to perfect. First glance probably makes you think that the high price is too much but even at just 66 loads it works out to less than 50 cents per load. Doing smaller loads will obviously coast less per load. Seventh Generation products are fast becoming a staple in our household. They seem to be cornering the market for continually providing high quality, nature based products with reasonable pricing and a much lesser negative impact on the earth.

Love the detergent as well as the unique dispensing function. Gets my clothes clean, and the scented versions aren’t overly scented. I like the lavender. Environmental considerations: concentrated so smaller container (60% less plastic, weighs less, takes up less space) and 50% less water to produce; 98% plant based.

Love that its ultra concentrated so my HE washer makes the best use of it. Super easy to use with the lid doubling as a measuring cup telling you how much detergent to use. Clothes always clean after wash.
