Out of the box they work great. HOWEVER when the nozzle wears out or gets clogged you can’t replace just the nozzle like most all 3D printers. You must buy the entire hotend for $175. You cannot use 3rd party nozzle because they don’t fit. And if you try using filament that isn’t “Tinkerine” brand then you will void the warranty of the hotendStay away

First I must say we had a Makerbot and a Tinkerine and the Tinkerine was far more reliable as far as hardware goes. It did however take us a while before we were able to make reliable prints that stuck to the bed, but after many hours of struggle, we were starting to see success after success. We learned that if we applied painter's blue tape (best results with harbor freight brand over 3M), the project would stick better. It's not the cheapest printer on the market but I would recommended this printer. I would avoid the low cost $20 filaments and stick to maybe the tinkerine brand ($40ish) as the cheaper filaments tends to leave varnish like deposits in the head that eventually clog it up to the point where it's probably easier to buy a replacement head than to unclog it. This printer is much quieter than the Makerbot we had and made it suitable to run in a classroom without distracting students. Worked right out of the box. I didn't quite understand how to calibrate the bed when one of my students took the print without removing the bed first and I called customer service and they were great. Super easy to reach and no hold time. He then sent me a video to watch and it really helped me. I've been emailing them ever since and email service is great as well! Love their education side as well. Really helps me as a teacher!
