Charges like a phone would and lights your candles without a flame. There is something about it that the cat doesn’t like though. She could be in the garden and I’m indoors using it and she’ll come running in crying at me… must produce a high pitch noise that only they can hear or something! So I don’t use it as often as I’d hoped! Great gadget though.

A nifty little item. Easier to use than matches, charges up faster than I expected and the charge lasts a good length of time. It's also nice that the indicator shows how much of the charge is left while in use.

It's definitely handy but you have to be really careful not to touch whatever you're lighting with the prongs as it can stop the flow of electricity from one to the other. So far all I needed to do was give it a quick wipe with a tissue and it was working again. I also like the shut off/lock feature. The feature would be ideal for people with little kids who love to get a hold of things they're not supposed to.

Wasn't expecting much but was sick of constantly refilling the gas lighter.I use it to light the stove. It's not good for lighting paper or cardboard. But toilet paper or lint from dryer catches fire very quickly.Only recharged it once since it arrived months ago.Great safety feature it turns it's self off if not used in a few seconds just slide the switch back and forth again and your good to go.Overall I am pretty happy with it

So glad I bought this, it's so simple to use and very effective. Fully charged it when I got it and haven't charged it since (had it a month). If you need to reach quite a way down into an enclosed candle holder, be aware the the button is half way down, so if your hand won't fit, you may struggle to use this. Aside from this I would definitely recommend - no more matches or gas lighters for me!

Sometimes doesn't light the wick straight away. It is great better than a lighter or matches. Great as you can charge it rather than thinking about buying new. Will be interesting to see how long it lasts. I am using it every day

Bought this to light candles.I didn't want to purchase a gas lighter as I'd need to keep buying more. Having an electric lighter is perfect as all I need to do is charge it up.I've had it a while now, and the battery hasn't died much

Fed up with lighters not working when you need them, running out of gas etc. Not had one issue with this since we've had it, doesn't get hot, battery lasts for ages and charges really quickly. Reliable as anything wish I'd bought one a long time ago.
