As per my OCD, I am very picky/specific about what utensils I like to use while cooking and eating. I bought this knife set a few years ago and waited to write a review because I wanted to comment on how well they lasted after years of use as well. I am writing this to say, at this point I am still so happy with this purchase! They look beautiful, have a nice weight to them, have never had a problem with rust, and I just throw them in the dishwasher to clean. I love that each knife is one solid, sturdy piece of metal that I don't have to worry about the blade detaching from the handle. If the day ever comes where they do become rusty and unusable, I will be buying the same set again, I love them so much!

I have been using this knife set for about a year. I wanted to wait and see how they held up before writing a review, as well as dispel a couple of untruths I've read in previous reviews. This is a great set. Functional, durable, sharp and stylish. And at a good price. These knives feel great in your hand and are plenty sharp for our regular household needs. If you are some sort of chef on a cooking show then maybe you need to spend a small fortune on your knives, but if you are an average user looking for great functionality at a good value, this is a great option.Regarding the reviewers mentioning that the set is cheap and the scissors fell apart... they are simply ignorant and don't know that the scissors are purposely made to easily come apart if you want to clean them. They have never come apart while I've been using them. People should read the instructions before posting inaccurate and false information. This set is not cheap at all... the knives have a decent weight to them and they are very comfortable to hold.This set is well worth the purchase and I highly recommend it.

6 Year Update : We purchased these in 2017, the year is now 2023 and we still have this knife set! The only thing that perished were the scissors that separated in year 5. No big deal tho- just purchased a new pair and we’re good to go! These knives have absolutely no traces of rust, and have served my family hundreds of times. I’m confident this set will last another 20 years if washed and cared for properly (just rinse with soap and dry). We were gifted a new set of knives for Christmas, and are blessing our local child and women’s shelter with this set. Thank you for 6 years of meals and happy bellies!Original Review: The. Best. I am so pleased with this set of knives. I originally washed them by hand but since several have been used I've put them in the dishwasher and they come out looking like they did when they arrived. The scissors are sharp and similar to an older well made pair that I have. Ignore the person who states that they fall apart - that's the way these scissors are made, they clip together and clip apart for thorough cleaning - I cut skirt steak with these amongst other things. Excellent set of knives. I would definitely recommend them and purchase them as a gift.

The only reason I am only giving this 4 stars is due to the snafu with the first shipment. I received the wrong set. This was quickly remedied and I am very pleased with this set. It is a Christmas gift for someone but I like the design, the feel of the knife in my hand and the blades seem really sharp. Thank you to Alisa at LivingKit for her assistance.

These knives replaced a set of really terrible knives that I "inherited" so it was a great upgrade. I didn't need to spend a lot on forged blades but wanted knives with some good heft and sharp edges. These fit the bill very nicely! I have used the paring knife, the slicer and a steak knife and so far I can say they are just wonderful. How long they hold their edge / sharpness is anyone's guess but MY guess is that when they do need to be sharpened it won't be for awhile. Sliced tomatoes with the paring knife effortlessly. Sliced meat with the slicer and steak knives with ease. Great Value!

I've had these for 3 months now and still just as pleased! Block color was as advertised with no flaws or marks, each knife was in pristine condition. Obviously keeping these away from the dishwasher, I use a soft sponge with warm soapy water and dry with a towel right away. Nicely weighted, very sharp! Sliced my finger a little bit while cutting a tomato with the serrated edge, my last knives couldn't hold their sharp edges so I got lazy with safety. I definitely am more careful with these. Simple and classy look!

I have had the knives for about 3 months now and I just LOVE this set. The knives are extremely sharp (be careful!) and they are great quality.Heavy feel to them, which I love - not cheapo. Have not experienced any rusting so far, but I do hand wash and dry the knives every time. The set itself is compact and easy fits on the counter without taking up too much room.Would definitely recommend.
