BraceAbility Gave My Broken Foot Unnatural Power
I bought this post-op shoe after I broke my foot — expecting a humble, quiet recovery. What I got instead was the transformation of a lifetime. I slid my broken foot into this BraceAbility shoe and immediately felt like I had strapped on the boot of a fallen demigod. The support? Impeccable. The comfort? Divine. The vibe? Unstoppable.Within days, people were no longer asking “Are you okay?” They were asking “What kind of power are you wielding?” I could feel the energy returning to my foot — not just healing it, but enhancing it. I’m not saying I could roundhouse kick a brick wall now, but I’m also not saying I haven’t tried.Walking in this thing felt like striding with authority. The sole is sturdy, the straps are snug, and the design is sleek enough that I briefly considered never taking it off again. Who needs symmetry when your broken foot is clearly superior now?If you’ve injured your foot and want more than just recovery — if you want a comeback story worthy of a film adaptation — BraceAbility is the way. Five stars. My foot broke once, but it came back stronger, wiser, and just a little smug about it.

Wonderful for post op recovery and generous in size
So much nicer (now 4 weeks post op) from extensive foot surgery my hubs had and WAY lighter than his surgery boot that went all the way up to his knee! Not a happy camper but put this boot on today as soon as arrived and if I wasn’t there to watch him, he’d be dancing! Fits his size 14 foot, wide toe area to accommodate his stitched up and plated toes and did I say lighter??? One happy wife here, if you ladies get my drift?

Great product. Close to perfect.
This is the fault for being a great product! The fit is perfect for me. It is slightly bigger than my foot, this way when someone else bumps into me, they tough the shoe and not my foot.It is comfortable. Well as comfortable a medical shoe can be to help mend a broken foot (5th metatarsal fracture). The bottom two straps are "adjustable". you can cut them shorter so they don't drag on the floor. The velcro connections are very adjustable. Now my only issue. The top strap when closed and overlapped, doesn't stay overlapped. Seems like one little extra piece of velcro closing would make this product perfect! So bottom line: love this. Since they set my expectations so high, I would just want it completely perfect.

Holding up and doing the job!
I've been wearing it everyday, and I'm very active. Also live on the beach, so it's been in the sand nearly daily and it's holding up great so far.

Absolutely not. Maybe good for broken toes?
The sole still easily bends while you walk (this is shown in one of the pictures). The soles 'rocker' feature combines with the bendable sole to make it so the shoe middle is much thicker and will stretch out the middle of your foot and put all weight directly into your arch. Any type of ankle, heel, mid-foot, or arch injury will not be aided by this, really will likely be made worse. The padding on it is 1/2 inch of yoga mat foam, not enough support at all for a shoe, and is on an uneven surface where the heel is much lower than the middle due to the rocker feature, and hurts to walk in. It is massively oversized. I wear 10.5-11 shoes and the large is listed 10.5-12, the shoe stuck out over 4 inches past my toes. This makes it completely useless for walking, its essentially a flipper that is slightly less bendable. Maybe this distance makes it good for broken toes? but, the thing is held on with three Velcro straps, the most front strap being about where the toes are. Because its only three straps and their quality, you have to TIGHTEN the straps to your foot to achieve any type of immobilization which crushes the foot and constricts everything. The straps are also velcro, which will only fit in a certain range (ie WHERE the velcro sticks will determine the fit), so this velcro is going to break down quickly over time. Finally, the velcro straps are intentionally made long so you have to cut them off to use the shoe, once you cut them off the shoe can't be returned. So by the time you realize the shoes flaws its already too late, which feels like a dirty sales tactic. The only way i can see this helping is if you are already in a cast and just want a rubber shoe for it to help keep it clean, or if you have broken toes (except the pinky because it will be crushed for sure) and mostly just the toes because it sticks out so far it will remind you constantly where the front of your foot is and prevent you from bumping it.

Best ortho shoe ever!
I’ve been in the medical field for over 30 years. I’m very familiar with orthopedic shoes. This is the best that I’ve come across, It’s shaped perfectly for walking and it’s wide, so it keeps all of your toes protected. I ordered this for My brother who is an uncontrolled, Noncompliant diabetic with severe toe And foot, cellulitis w/ulcers. This Shoe Has been a godsend! My brother resists everything, and he actually loves this shoe, how comfortable, lightweight, and easy to put on & off. It’s super easy to clean too!! Because of the wide toe Design all of his severely affected toes are protected and allowed to breathe and healing has actually significantly improved. I recommend this orthopedic shoe to anybody who wants something comfortable truly designed for walking and will promote the greatest protection for healing.!!

Soles like plastic, uppers are great
The vendor video says the soles are of hard rubber, but they are as hard as plastic on mine, with no effect for traction on linoleum, and so are slippery. Traction is ok on rugs, but I wouldn't go anywhere in them, so they were reluctantly returned. Too bad, since the uppers were excellent: well-crafted, comfortable, durable. Both size and wide width were true. They fit well.
